Customs can be a real pain. I heard from one of my customers in the UK who was dismayed to learn that his local customs dept. was charging him extra to receive his Sideshow statue. It seems this problem is cropping up in many areas now.

Sweet, looks pretty cool....I have my Styracosaurus and T-rex EX both being shipped monday. Problem is I have no place to put these dino pieces. I gatta go to Ikea tomorrow to buy a temporary display case.

I think I can put the Styrac here on the desk and then it will full...heh heh

Still working out the shelf deal..I have a lot of stuff to clear to make more space..the thing is I really don't want them on a shelf..I like being able to view em' from diff angles...so I'm pretty conflicted.. heh

Those pics don't disappoint.

ETA for mine is next Wednesday. This will make a nice companion piece to the Krentz Eineosaurus kit I built a while ago. I may locate them opposite each other on the same shelf like bookends.

How big is the Eineo kit ? About the same size as the Styrac ?

Judging from Dan's pics for comparison, I'd say its about the same scale when placed next to my Carno. Now whether each is within scale of each other as ceratopsians, I'm not sure. Both being bulls of course doesn't necessarily mean they'd be the same size; correct me if I'm wrong but for uber accuracy in scale I suppose the Styraco should be smaller than the Eineo since the latter may have been a larger species.

Actually, both of those ceratopsians were about the same size, the Einiosaurus being perhaps a tad bigger. Krentz's Einiosaurus is probably my favorite piece that he's done. I assume you got it straight from him, before he went "missing", yeah?

I think I did. It may have been when he first started his website - around 2000 maybe?? I just remember the Eineo kit came out shortly after his superb Albertasaurus which was a must-have when I first saw it.

When I complimented him on his work in an email he was also just wrapping up production on Disney's 'Dinosaur' and on how burned out he was with the whole project. Can't say that I blame him for whatever personal or professional reasons he keeps a low profile.

I was just curious myself. Though as long as they are roughly the same size they should look fine displayed together I think.

Def need to show pics when you get yours.. ;)

I'm an idiot.. I couldn't quite place the piece you have..but it's Buffalo Bull isn't it ?

That's the very piece I was hoping to get with this Styrac..I love the base with it's hill top and him bellowing into the air. Always wanted it..but never did get it.

Yup, that's one beautiful piece. I've probably posted shots of it on this thread before, but oh well. LoL.

Bears a strong resemblance to the Styrac, from the curve of the tail, to the elevated left foreleg.

He had that ad for his dvd in PT not too long ago...and maybe he is working on that new, top secret dino film all the major paleo-artists are working on now.

You know, if you wanted a cheap bronze..all you would have to do is paint the kit version with bronze paint..heh heh

My EX arrives on Tuesday, then it gets wrapped and put under the Christmas tree.
