I'll likely be displaying mine in a way so that one can appreciate the beauty and ferocity of the piece. That Parasaur is stunning. Angling it so that the viewer can appreciate the cryptic striping is something that seems a necessity.

Due to the nature of the scene, I'd say this one will look excellent from almost any angle. A great table centerpiece. :D

I'd say a small, rotating display stand would go a long way, but then I'd be afraid it could lead to a slippery and expensive slope just for display purposes. :lol

Hmman electronic one ? You can get an artist's base that just rotates by hand a bit cheaper I bet...then it's really easy to alter to the position or show it off whenever you want.

Though...a plexiglass case, with spotlight and a rotating base...darn you Scar..just look what you did..!

Fortunatly I don't know where to get them... heh heh

A proper base or display area can really add to a piece's attraction..and increase viewability. I'm trying now to merge that with what I have already and get something less expensive as a result.

Well, most of you have seen these pics already but lets take another look anyways....

Those pics are awesome.:banana

This looks just like the proto pics. I was worried that the color on the Para might not be as vibrant, but these pics have laid my fears to rest.

Dyscrasia, do you always get Sideshow pieces this much earlier than everyone else?:monkey5

Those shots were from the SDCC, remember? Hence the Dinosauria images on the monitor overhead.

Maybe it would look good on a lazy Susan with a powerful electric motor. :lol

He hasn't received it yet, but if the shipping schedule for this is like the last two releases, international customers will likely receive theirs first.

As to the base, an artist's base which you can rotate manually would be cheaper, but not as much fun as an electric one. :D I'll be plenty content to display it sans a base, though.

Oh, i'm assuming it's from SDCC then? I was thrown off by the monitor above the statue, but thought he just had a kickass display.

Yes, those pics are from SDCC and I just gathered them in one single post since they are scattered in a couple of other threads.

Since the T. rex maquette, the dinosauria statues are being delivered directly from China and Hong Kong to the international retailers/distributors, so as long as the retailers don't screw up with the orders(such as my Styrac maquette), we are able to receive the statues earlier than the US customers...:naughty

Thanks for clearing that up.

I can't wait for this piece to arrive at my doorstep. Shouldn't be too much longer.:banana

There are a number of pieces that I would love to have a rotating base for. If I ever become a millionaire...

And while you're at it, get some sexy lighting, and some nature ambiance to heighten the atmosphere. Admission: $30 per person.

I was just looking at this a little closer and I think this will be all one piece. I dont think the base will come separate on this...the parasaurolophus looks to be pretty tightly wedged in the crocs mouth to be a separate piece also. So if any parts of the "water" break off....your stuck sending back the whole piece and/or destroying it.
