Got Blackie today. My favorite of the three for sure. The black just looks better for his outfit type. Green was OK, but the grey/tan reminded me of the DHARMA Initiative jumpsuits.
The weathing on the blow off arm clothing is much better than before and more frayed. He also has blood running down that leg below the arm, which I didn't really notice on the others even if it is indeed there.
He is still green though, and that would be my only disapointment, and the fact this is the third one.

You'd think they could paint at least one of them like the prototype if they insisted on making three of them.

I know! That is what pisses me off the most about this one. At least the Babysitters got different hair colors in addition to the outfits.

i hate when they make more than two variants. especailly when the changes are minor. the green skin reminds me of a martian. and after the first one, i vowed to never get another one of him. i just am not impressed with green skin. how often do dead people have green skin and that much flesh still on their body? and im kinda disappointed on mall santa. he reminds me more of a cannibal than a zombie. but he is still cool in his own sense. especially the santa suit.

nice, but i would only pick one of those. no need for three versions unless you plan on building an army.

After looking at all three, the one I would have chosen would be the Spook version. Its is the best out of them unfortunate that it was the last offered so those who want the best one would have to unload the others first....

I can vouch for the fact that people begin to turn a blue-ish green as they start to decompose. Severe decomp will make a corpse look like an avacado, although it has more of a blue-ish tinge to it. Additionally, in several cases, since the skin is so pliant, it will often shrivel and turn black rather than rot off the body. It takes MANY, MANY years for a body to decompose to the point where 1) it no longer stinks and 2) no longer possesses any flesh. Depending on the conditions, bodies may never lose their flesh.
Edit: I thought about actually posting a pic but decided against it. Even though this is a "Dead" thread, some people freak out when you cross the line from "realistic" to "real."
As for the mall Santa, I agree. While it's by far one of the best sculpts (and resembles Simon Pegg a bit too), he has more of an "infected" appearance (like 28 Days) vs. zombification. But it's cool as he represents the freshly bitten/early stages of whatever virus turns people into The Dead.

well said. the sculpt is great, but as you stated, more of an early look. still kicks ass in many ways. i love the santa suit. now id like to see a slutty naughty elf chick to drink with him.

I am glad I do. It fleshes out the display a bit more. By simply adding accessories like helmets, ball caps, sunglasses or tactical goggles, you can easily modify the appearance in your display so that they don't look like the Guacamole Triplets. Which is more than I can say for the Babysitters. But there's hope for them. I just saw Zombie Strippers yesterday so I have some interesting display ideas...

That's green. It has a bluish tinge, but it's definitely green. And it'd be a bit darker if not for the flash which anybody knows, lightens colors. But this is probably irrelevant as you've most likely never even seen a real decomp in person. Because if you had, this would be a non-issue.

I honestly can't believe this debate is still going on. I figured it was common knowledge that corpses have a greenish hue in the advanced stages of decomp.
