And they'll find out how the piece gonna look like after few shades being added to the face and some tweak on the "makeup". Compare to what Baby's look in the film, the statue has a much lighter look.
Good to know that others feel the same way.
No word on when Blondie will PO as far as I know.

I think blonde will be ready for preorder by the end of the month. She will the 2nd best seller of this line.
Well, urban collector pretty much dropped the bomb. Don't think its their fault but looks like I won't be getting babydoll:
New information: rumors are floating around various distributors are unableto fill their orders to retailers. We have received word that Diamond Comicswill not be filling our orders for Babydoll. We have orders in with 2 othersources and are hoping to be able to fill our orders. That being said, wehave run into issues in the past regarding popular, limited quantitystatues. Gentle Giant has ultimate control over where the statues go, soallocations are completely out of our control. We are allowing cancellations without the non-refundable deposit if you areable to secure your statue elsewhere. If we do not hear from you, we willkeep your pre-order and make our best effort to fill it.

I just got the same email from Urban. I'm hoping they will be able to fulfill my order. If they can't, then I guess I'm s*%# outa luck.
How often does Gentle Giant do this kind of thing? Anything I've ever bought from them, was an item that wasn't too rare. Seems like poor thinking on their part.
Btw, how many Japanese exclusive Baby Dolls are there? Seems like alot of people are saying they won't be getting the regular, so I'm wondering who's getting them.

400 are suppose to be sold in Japan
100 through GG PGM
After thought. I believe they also raised the price from 250 to 400 for the same statue with the same edition size

What leaves a bad taste in my mouth, and will cause me to never buy a GG item again if I don't get my statue - that I had to 'reorder' from BBTS, is that I ordered Amber (like a lot of us) when she first went up for preorder, but since GG controls who gets their allotment, it ends up meaning NOTHING... unless of course, you order directly from them. This pretty much means that any pre-orders not made thru GG directly are meaningless. Screw them & the horse they rode in on.
Edit: And for the record, since Amber didn't have a published limit, they absolutely could have honored the pre-order commitments.

Thanks riky. It seems that Gentle Giant isn't going to win back any former customers, if they're going to pull crap like this.
The worst part is that I have the other three on pre-order with BBTS, but I don't think I'd want them without Baby Doll.

I ordered from a less than reputable dealer who already charged me. But I have a feeling I'm not getting her. Just as well, I think I'll be happy with HT version.

I am super excited to receive mine. I thought the proto looked amazing and if Morgul Steves photos are an accurate representation of what the in hand piece looks like I think GG really delivered. When this went up for preorder with an edition size of only 500 I ordered direct as it seemed smarter to guarantee a preorder then try and save 15% and take a chance at not getting one.
With all that said GG has been so dishonest and shady (they doubled the fraking edition size after it sold out) that I have no doubt that we will be seeing another release of Babydoll in some form or another. Alot of peeps may decline to purchase the rest of the line if they know they will not be able to get the full line up.
Hope this does not come off as trollish.

That's not being trollish. Your only speaking the truth. I just don't think I could ever see a company like Sideshow or Weta doing something like this. I shouldn't have to be concerned about whether or not I'll get a statue I pre-ordered almost a year ago.

I don't think you're coming off as trolling. You're just stating what you are getting and how you got it. Congrats.
BBTS got 12 and I ordered one of them before it went up for PO on their site. I just hope that Gentle Giant doesn't screw BBTS over like they've done other e-retailers.
That's 12 of the Japan version right? I think they took more than 12 PO's for the reg version... (anyone know exactly how many PO's they took for the reg?)
