Wait..... It's not snow??!!?!?!? :panic:

Right up there with "They Fly Now??!!" :rotfl

Casino planet trip waste of time and hair stylist admiral puts up a fight for nothing. I still don't get those plotlines nor will I ever watch tjat movie again on pure spite alone. F the people who put that movie together.

"I just don't get why people would cheer at movies."

"Good Oto good. Now take your life. Take it now."

"I shouldn't..."

You know the rest, lol.

Welll......this IS the "Suicide" Squad thread after all....

Rian and Smith aren't even in the same solar system. Tim Burton and Rian are a better match. Smith just writes decent dialogue. He's like a bootleg Tarantino, without the filmaking knowledge and talent.

Pretty good analogy of Smith and Tarantino. Kevin Smith was a perfect fit for movies appealing to teens and young adults in his peak time in the mid-late '90s. I was in that demographic and loved it back then. But looking back, his work was never all that good. Tarantino is one of the greatest filmmakers of all time, but if you dilute him about 50 times, and remove the violence, I suppose you end up with a Kevin Smith script.

I thought Knives Out was a fun movie, and enjoyed Looper and Brick though I haven't watched either in many years and don't remember too much about either. Personally, I think Rian was just a bad choice to helm a Star Wars movie. To me, that's akin to Marvel initially wanting Edgar Wright to make Ant-Man. Could be really interesting and different, but do you really want something that unconventional in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? For them, they made the right call in switching to Peyton Reed. The Star Wars thing is even worse because he took over a core movie in a sequence, so this wasn't one of the spin-offs where you might be more understanding toward someone taking liberties with expectations and conventions.

But yeah, tasting salt is pretty bad exposition, but I'm not sure I could do anything better. Not sure why that detail mattered all that much to begin with, though.

--edit--
And for an on-topic comment, I just saw this on BBTS. Pretty cool that he is getting a figure of any kind:

I'm guessing that RJ really wanted to make it clear that Crait wasn't a *total* ripoff of Hoth, lol. But instead of having an ***** licking the ground all he had to do was add a quick line to the briefing like "disturbing the minerals directly under the salt covering can greatly affect visibility so steer clear of other speeders" or something like that. Done.
