Hey that was just supposed to be a light hearted jab at your capacity to enjoy movies not an indictment of your life or anything!
Way to go, Khev.

Thank you.

I've been dead inside for a long time.

If I'm lucky, I get a fleeting moment of joy every now and then, but I honestly can't remember the last time I felt a sustained feeling of happiness or contentment.

Death starts looking pretty good when you have nothing to live for.
If your serious don’t think that way. Gotta be positive

I'm done with physical media. It takes up space and collects dust. That's what my action figures are for. 🤓
Hahahahaha seriously, I unfortunately got broken into, my 300 dvd collection at the time was wiped out and gone, they left my anime stuff untouched 🙈, with that said i made a promise never to amass that much physical content now I have close to 838 Digital movies lolololol, Action figures space is priority!!!!
Streaming is the future. The cinema experience isn't what it used to be.

All the other big budget films will bomb this year and into next. People acting like it's just because TSS wasn't for them are in for a shock. Feel sorry for the hardcore Dune fans - that film will be the biggest bomb of 2021.
I seriously feel that the people bashing TSS are people who can’t handle blood and gore, all you see is posts talk about how bad it was but all I saw was just a Guardian of the Galaxy’s with blood and guts which leads me to believe a lot of people just bashed the movie because of it, that’s just what i think though. TSS took risks, TSS killed villains, that’s something you don’t see that often in marvel films which makes me suspicious and if you do you never see blood and guts for example.

I wish that were true, but unfortunately it's not an act.

I'm a 43 year old walking nine inch nail song from the 90s.

It's not a pretty sight.

I wish I'd have heeded the Dean's warning.

Good news is you can change things if you want.

I'm giving you a virtual hug! 🤗

I remember I thought I failed at 25. I was over weight, ex broke up and unemployed. Through hard work and faith and determination I got myself together. Never to late to fix who you are and 43 isn’t a bad start. You either pick yourself up or stay where you are.

What’s that Sylvester Stallone quote from that movie? That’s what’s winners are made of. Very inspirational!

He's complaining about comments Bob Chapek made on social media. He has 0 cred with Disney/Marvel as of yet. He should use his inner voice and keep his thoughts to himself.

:lol
He must know this movie is gonna blow hard at the box office. This is a new era where marvel just doesn’t mean a billion anymore. Time to bring out the big guns again like xmen, blade and ff

It's a great scene...probably the best in the movie.

But Rocky is a winner.

I'm a loser.

Always have been, always will be.

Anyway, enough of my sad sack ********. Sorry to derail.

Rocky is fiction. We all win and lose everyday. Movie industry probably loses more than anybody, now more than ever. :lol

What was the audience like when you saw the OT in theaters in the 70's and 80's?

When I went to see TPM in 1999, it was unlike any previous theater experience. There were huge lines of people waiting, in some places camping out for days. There were people dressed in costumes, people with lightsabers, and when the film started and the music hit, the crowd cheered and I could see all this lightsabers in the air, some lighting up. Things got pretty quiet after that, especially when walking out of the theater. :lol
Holy crap that ending is lol

Ok here goes.

I was 10 when I watched SW summer 77 and while I don’t recall everything what I do vividly remember was a sense of being bewildered yet mesmerized at seeing the ships then white stormtroopers then everything else unfold on the screen it was a massively life changing experience.

I don’t remember the actual audience reaction though.

ESB I was 13 and I remember much more everyone was quiet and stressed out then everyone was blasted with a huge shocker!

ROTJ I was 16 and super grumpy at that movie lol

TPM was as exactly as you mentioned! I drove far for a digital presentation of TPM a first industry changing event. Lucas as least technically had done it again!

Fast forward to the first cinematic live concert audience I witnessed during those MCU movies I had mentioned it was electrifying.

Nope. Your story isn't finished, you haven't quit, you're still here.

"There is hope, however, for anyone who is among the living; for even a live dog is better than a dead lion." --Ecclesiastes 9:4

Everything can turn around tomorrow. That's how fast life can change. It doesn't mean that it will turn around tomorrow, or ever, but there is *always* hope. Your feelings are very common, just because you're the one voicing them doesn't mean you're alone. I've been there, most or all of us have. Hang in there man.

Life has it's ups and downs, I know I would have been gone long ago if it weren't for Jesus and the hope He gives both for this life and the life to come.

The closing credits of TPM had to be one of the most awkward moments of my life. If only there was hidden camera footage of my reaction, I'm sure I looked like I was on Punk'd or something, lol.

And hell yeah the rock concert aspect of EG cannot be overstated. It wasn't just Cap lifting the hammer. People started cheering 10 minutes in with his "let's go get that son of a *****" line and didn't let up for all the appropriate places for three straight hours, culminating of course during the final battle. I get goosebumps now just thinking of thundering roar when Cap first caught the hammer and then shortly after when the portals were opening and each new hero emerged. :thud:

Clown summed up walking out of TPM perfectly but yeah punk’d also works lol

I remember being blown away by the pod race sounds and then Darth Maul but then quickly realizing that I was witnessing some horrific Howard the Duck meets meets Willow meets Star Wars moment there in the dark theater right before my very eyes.

I kid you not to this very day I still can not sit thru TPM from beginning to end only in spurts and that’s with me being forgiving and relaxing my grievances.

1999 was quite traumatic.

Cap in EG was the complete opposite of that TPM experience lol

20 years later still crying geezus.

Everything you two said about the PT is actually true for the ST.
