Sorry, I added a little more while you were responding I guess.

As to Lucas and Spielberg, I guess its like Nolan says, stick around long enough you ruin everything. When Snyder tries to do it again in 15 years, you too shall see.

I just want to say no no no its not true “that i love characters so much as long as they are in it.....” i hate the last jedi for what it did to luke oh i mean jake skywalker. I give tros more of a pass because i like the real ben skywalker we got to see for 5 minutes. I also like han too he just wasnt my favorite and that fake han ruined an otherwise good star wars movie for me. I love the game of thrones chick so anything she is in im game for. I still bought the steelbook though lol. I cant miss out on 4k star wars steelbook even if i hate the movie, dont worry ill never open them anyway there for display. I already own the best buy set anyway. Got it cheap as **** when covid first started wreaking havoc

Btw i apologize for the poor grammar had a little too much too drink tonight

I saw the extended Dawn of Justice. Still a terrible mess, but def. a little more coherent than the theatrical release. Ultimately I think the extended makes BvS go from the worse DCEU movie to the second worse (Squad takes the honor now.)

Snyder in my view simply the worst choice to get DC movies going. I think if DC was focused on taking its time and making good movies...eventually you pull in Snyder to make injustice. His style would fit in a movie like that very well.

And to be honest, I am sick of the underdeveloped big brawler bad guy at the end of these movies. Doomsday was terrible to shoehorn in, and Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman and Justice League all had oversized armored brutes as antagonists with questionable CGI, and it just brings movies down.

Gunn's Suicide squad for now appears to avoid the big armored bad guy....and if that stays I think that can help go along way.

I genuinely agree that many director's cut or extended cuts don't add a whole lot but some I like better. Lord of the rings trilogy, Aliens, Terminator 2, Punisher 2004, Daredevil are all better to me. Blade Runner I prefer the original with the narration but I was always a fan of old school detective movies with narration. BVS director's cut is better but still too much crammed in the movie. I love the discussion though. Most series have had some really bad movies. Indy, Terminator, Alien, Die Hard, Star Wars, Jaws and Dirty Harry have all had some clunkers.

Alien 3 Assembly Cut is a must. The true sequel to ALIEN. I have a love/hate relationship with ALIENS. I love that it is a fantastic movie and a excellent follow up. I hate that it came with a price making XENOMORPH’s “shoot em up cannon fodder” for every movie (minus A3) after. Thus A3 AC the true sequel to ALIEN.

Others are Hobbit and LOTR. Everything else I don’t have a preference (maybe the theatrical).

Sly always finds a way to stay relevant in every decade. He might show up in GOTG 3 too. I bet if he was in his prime he'd be playing a large role in these superhero films. Arnold too.

I don't even want to click that. I think I overdosed on HopeLeague. I need to detox from comic book movies.

I just realized this isn't the JL thread. Kind of a jagoff move to go into a thread to express disinterest. I don't like being a jagoff unintentionally.

I want to like it, but I'm at base zero for this film. Birds of Prey soured me on Harley Quinn, a zero agency Deadpool/Jack Sparrow entity. None of the jokes in this landed for me neither, the **** joke especially - at least with Leto's reach around line it takes a *** at Jokers knowing relationship with Batman, this is just an eat a **** joke that goes on for far too long.
