In all fairness fellas, PERS was a home run (breakage aside) 80-90% of the time. Other than Indy being an absolute miss, I think PERS was a great feature for the DX releases. It gave the figures extra life. They were more expressive in spite of having one look, and it's all due to the PERS. it opened up so many display options and I seriously hope HT hasn't abandoned it altogether. We don't need the pers mechanism because of its fragility, however if they can keep the single peg eyeballs, it's better than nothing, just as long I can continue having that extra bit of articulation.

yep but i doubt HT will do much of it again- BR Bats was probably designed for Pers years ago and they kept the feature- Hulk has it but from the first figure- I don't see anymore HT shown having the feature . May be over

AoU Hulk has PERS, I believe. You're able to move his eyes up and down and side to side with one toggle switch underneath his magnetized hair piece.

Can't wait to see the HT version of the Native American dude with the ropes.

The DX/PERS is probably the biggest flaw on their Indiana Jones figure, too. Shame. :(
I think that sculpt had no chance of being remotely decent, even without PERS. Just a bad decision on the sculptor (and it wasn't his first shot at Ford, either).

Can someone explain that one to me? What happened there? Many collectors were screaming for an updated sculpt but Arnie Kim didn't fix it. I remember reading that he only wanted to do Bruce lee and didn't put much effort into Indy. Did he ever go on record about what happened?

I think we have some more Civil War announcements before they get to Suicide Squad.

I would imagine this is probably true. Iron Man for sure, an actual figure not the Power Pose stuff, I have a feeling that HT wants to capitalize on the Spider-Man hype too, I wouldn't be shocked if he was announced sooner than later.

And Knightmare batman

I still have a feeling this one will be orderable around SDCC, not before.

Harley without a doubt is an order, just the basic one though, I'm not interested in the prisoner or Harleen version. The Joker will be interesting because I like the character and the look (the tattoos don't bother me any more, I didn't even notice Harley had face tattoos until the most recent trailer, just never seemed to notice...) but the final look of the figure will be the dealbreaker.

I'm not initially interested in any of the others. If they do a specific Batman from this maybe. I got this vibe from it

but I doubt there are any actual changes to the suit and he has just a breather on. It didn't look like it but who knows, the shot was quick and every screen grab is fairly dark that I've seen.

isn't the breather mask just here to hide the fact that ben affleck wasn't on the set during most of the batman sequences ?

That part where he had the breather. He looked small compared to how he looked in BVS where he was really beefy. Might be a flashback sequence?

Just watch, we'll get another Batman, ala Iron Man, before we get a Joker or anyone else besides Harley or Deadshot. And I did see that he's thinner. It actually looks more like the Hot Toys figure and a little better.

I'm almost used to them already...almost. The "damaged" one is the only tattoo I still can't ignore. By my calculation, I should be ok with all of the tattoos by time the film comes out in August :lol
I think all the tattoos are awful personally. It's not so much the fact that he has them but it's the tattoos he has. They're so on point to The Joker that it's almost as though the filmmakers are slapping you across the face with them in case you forgot who he's supposed to be. He looks more like some Joker fanboy rather than the actual Joker. I mean as much as I hate the damaged tattoo on his forehead the fact that he literally has Joker written across his abdomen is pretty eye roll inducing too.

Maybe he isn't THE Joker. Maybe he really, really badly wants to be him. *cough* Robin *cough*

:goodpost: I hate this look. It's unnecessary. He looks like a pimp from a 70s or 80s movie, or a gang-banger. Which I guess is why Harley is dressed like one of the hookers from Crocodile Dundee. Lazy character design on the part of the filmmakers imho. I was really hoping Harley at least would have had her leather Arkham Asylum outfit. But this Joker... God awful.

Nah. Joker will obviously be first. (IF others follow him).

I hated the Joker look at first, and more so I hate Jared Leto. However, this characters look is growing on me immensely. With croc and the rest of the team looking the way they do it really looks like they're running characters in the same style as the Joker graphic novel by Brian Azzarello. Granted, the Joker looked like Ledger in that version, but the rendition of the Riddler looked like a strung out raver drug lord with a gang of street racers. Since they went with Croc being the big black dude with a skin disease in this movie just like in the book it really seems to me they just kind of took a similar styling they did with the Riddler and tossed it on the Joker. Regardless of all that, I wasn't super hot on this take on the Joker until I saw the machine gun scene, then the Ace Chemicals scene and what appears to be a heist. I don't know, we'll see when the film comes out, but if HT makes the Joker, I'm buying it.

I am pretty sure that theory went straight out the window when you see Joker diving into the acid to save Harley during the origin scene in the trailer. Being someone who grew up around the elements of people with face tattoos and big gaudy jewlery first hand , I am totally loving the Joker's look. These are all things that are status symbols and every one that I grew up with got their nicknames tattooed on them somewhere. It was just the norm. Also when you went anywhere the "ballets" or guys in the neighborhood that were making the most money all had extravagant jewlery. The fact that Ayer modeled him after a cartel boss makes the whole thing more realistic to me. It is not that big of a shocker with all the tattoos if it is in present day. I think Leto is going to kill it , but that is just my opinion. I am not in to trying to convince people to like what I like or vice versa. At the end of the day it's up to you and not critics and the Internet telling you what to like and not like.

Hopefully DC goes this route. It would be a cool take on the character. Are you a fan of the Robin theory ?

Not sure if they will go this route, but I think it would be pretty interesting. Different take that's never been done before in film.
