Hey guys. Here's a new Summer appropriate body coming from Triad. Nice realistic proportions.

Huh, looks happy, doesn't she?

Well, that's fine, but if you're not careful you won't be able to get the discount price. The discount price is for folks who are on board before casting begins. After that it increases to the full price of $35.00 per unpainted head.

Just thought I'd let you know how to save $15.00 per head! Thanks for checking in. :)

I appreciate that. But I saw somewhere else, this same thing, and the final product was pure crap. I mean I felt bad for those who put the name down.

But then again, i've never bought a head before...and I probably wont buy this one...(I may start one day, but we'll see). I just wanted to make this point.

Not saying your sculpt is bad in anyway. I love it a lot. But I dont know...sometimes...things can go very wrong in the casting/paint area.

Ya, and I was also thinking of the smaller-busted female Alpha body that Triad previewed along with these. Unfortunately with Triad, it's always a matter of when these things will actually hit the market :) I'll probably use a Soldier Story/Triad S1 until the Alpha comes out, and then swap to a pair of those.

I 'm truly sorry that you may have had bad experiences with other sculptors in the past. And if you feel a lack of confidence in my product I would not want you to risk your hard earned money. But I wonder if you've taken a few minutes to see how satisfied folks have been with my work and the amazing paint work of Kuato?

I really hate the self promotion part of things, it makes my uncomfortable to toot my own horn, but to put it bluntly, I'm a professional. I've only just taken up the custom thing in the last 6 months or so and my idea was to bring the quality and experience of a long career to the custom world.

I've been in the Toy business for 20 years as a pro toy sculptor and designer working on some of the highest profile stuff you can think of. I'm not going to list all of that here, that would just sound boastful, but if you poke around and look at my website, read the interview Figures.com did with me and, most importantly, ask a few folks here on SSF about their experience with me and my work you might come away with a different opinion.

Take a look at the quality of my casting and the fantastic paint apps by Kuato here: Kuato's Paintwork. Flip through the thread and take a good look. Damn, is he good or what?

You said that "somewhere else" the end product was crap. Well, this isn't "somewhere else". Unfortunately, there have been some who have screwed over their customers and left a bitter taste in their mouths. That's not me, my friend. I NEVER put out crap. I only put out the highest quality sculpts, casting and painting. I've never had one single complaint about quality, never had a single problem that I didn't put forth my utmost effort to correct, no matter the cost to me. My personal philosophy is to always do better today than I did yesterday and to realize there's always room for improvement. I do not accept anything short of the best quality, period. And, frankly, I'm never satisfied so I always try to do better.

In the end, I do all I can to make my customers feel like they have got their money's worth.

Sorry if that's sounding like I'm ranting, I don't mean to. It's just, that's who I am. I give a damn about this stuff. It's been the center of my life since April, 1989.

You say you like the sculpt. I thank you for that assessment, I truly appreciate it. Rest assured that the casting will be absolutely identical to the sculpt. And now that you've seen Kuato's painting, well.... I think it speaks for itself.

Thanks for listening to my rambling on....:D As you can tell, quality is important to me!

It wasnt a statement towards you...just a statement on the whole "sign up n' pay before its done" thing.

But once its done, and painted...I will surely have another look at it. Perhaps i'll buy it (low price, or whatever). Like that Joker you did. Fantastic. But...I was going to get the Bank Robber one anyway so...I wouldnt need it.

I understand, but, you see, I strive to make the "sign up n' pay before it's done" thing a sure bet for my customers. That's the only point I wanted to make. I aims to please....

Well, if you like what you see, you know where to get one! :D

i have confidence in your work Chris.:D

that triad body pisses me off. i ordered the rerelease of the version 1 otaku which is a nice body but the bust is too big. this version has interchangeble chest plates. my version 1 body is still on preorder. i wonder if i can cancel. that version 2 body is a long way off though. release date of next summer. i might keep the body i got ordered for now and pick the new one up in the future. i can always use the version 1 body for another figure.

Thank you my friend. I will always try to live up to it!

Hmmmmm... I didn't realize there was that kind of wait. I don't have much experience with Triad product. Looks pretty sweet, though! Nice sculpt, good proportions. I'd like to see one in person. I wish I had money and time to develop some bodies of my own....:D

You can, but you have to call Triad to cancel any open orders. I usually just leave a message and ask them to email confirmation to me, which they do.

Personally, I still think the Triad Alpha female figure with the small bust option will make a fantastic Summer at a great price.

Howes will get the job done. His Christian Bale was amazing, use that as a reference if you aren't sure to buy from him.

I'm still amazed by his Ledger Jokers!! :drool

Hi guys,

Thanks for the words of support, I truly appreciate that! It means a lot to me.

As you know, I have an obsession with quality and when our new friend, CelticP, posted doubts as to the quality of the finished product it was clear to me he wasn't familiar with me or the product I produce.

His experience was based on the work of others who don't adhere to the standards that my customers have come to expect from me and from Kuato.

I just wanted CelticP and everyone else to feel confident that the final result will be the best quality available anywhere at any price! Hey, I'm gonna get that tattooed on my chest.......:D

keep in mind that CelticP is like a 15 year old kid or something. and kids say the darnedest things.

Oh, I did not know our friend was such young whippersnapper. I'm so darn old I can't even remember 15. Actually, I had been sculpting for a year at that age. My very first pro sculpting job was at 14 years old for a company that made cheapo plaster figures. Little did I know I'd be doing it still nearly 30 years later..... Ah, memories......

Still, I want everyone to have confidence and no matter the source I feel I need to address such doubts quickly.

Oh yeah thanks. So sorry that I ya know, wanted to comment on buying before seeing.

Oh i'm 17 by the way. Christ.....

I'll just stay out of your threads, and not say anything.

Yes, Chris is amazing, but sometimes, things may not turn out right. Probably not from Chris, but when people do these "buy before you see" threads, it can happen....

No, don't do that! I welcome everyone! In fact, what I would really like from you is to render your opinion on the sculpts. Rather than saying, "well, it could turn out crap" participate in the process.

If you look at my projects you'll see that I want everyone's eyes taking a critical look at the WIP photos. Many eye's are better than just mine.

You might catch something I don't. Plus, everyone just has a different perspective that I want to hear. That way I get to understand the sculpt better, I understand how others perceive the sculpt better and the end result is a superior sculpt!

All I ask is to leave out the generalities about how it could end up horrible. With your help, with everyone's help, we assure that it will never be crap.

Together we'll make sure that every pre order is a satisfied order!

So stick around and join the fun.

!7, huh? Man, you've got quite a ride ahead of you! !7 was pretty fun for me. I finally had wheels, a little spending money, a few girls..... enjoy yourself as much as you can before you've got a mortgage.

Ever see the old Saturday Night Live sketch with Mike Myers as "Middle-Aged-Man"? Old dude who would save the day with his middle aged knowledge along with his sidekick, "Drinkin'-Buddy" played by Chris Farley? That's me...... I know how escrow works......
