I think we're good on this one Chris! Majority vote seems to be to keep the mole. I think we're good for finishing up the head and starting on the other versions! :joy

I've hardened her up and created her neck socket. Looks good on the Triad body I have here. I'll shoot a few photos later tonight. Gotta run some errands first! Then I'll pour a mold.

Here's a couple pics on a Triad body.

There were a few concerns on MWD and Triad that the head is a little on the large side. Does anyone else here have the same opinion? I'm leaning towards agreeing with them, but I know that Chris should be able to shrink it up a bit in casting if needed.

Opinions?

Looks fine to me, but I think heads tend to look larger on naked bodies... but once clothed look right.

Gotcha guys, thanks for the feedback.

Chris - Since there quite a few concerns about the size, would you be able to do a side-by-side pic with the Triad head?

Looks fine to me, but I think heads tend to look larger on naked bodies... but once clothed look right.

The head is scaled to result in the proportion of a 7.5 head tall figure. The average human is between about 6.5 and 7.5 heads tall, so I've placed her in the smaller head size range of realistic proportion.

Using this photo I've taken measurements as accurately as possible. Through the center point of her body she measures 6.5" tall and her head measures 0.875" from chin to top of skull. This means she is 7.4 heads tall. So, my sculpt is actually very slightly smaller in proportion to the rest of the body than in reality. Pretty darn close. I personally prefer realistic proportion over pinhead "heroic" proportion.

The color contrast between the Super Sculpey and the plastic body causes they eye to focus on the head. And, as Galactiboy points out, the lack of clothes also adds to the prominence appearance of the head.

That being said, I was thinking of casting a wax copy for further work. The things I want to do to finish her up are too subtle for the already hardened Super Sculpey. Wax is perfect, however, and would give me a small shrink as well. I was actually worried about the shrink, but perhaps it's a good compromise between reality and pinheadville. :D

Awesome, Chris...thanks for the feedback! :rock

Also a small update for those interested on the discount timeframe for Kuato's paintwork...his discount will remain open until sometime after Chris Howes has closed his, and you will get to see a painted sample of Summer first :)

That's excellent...Thanks for the update!

Thanks Chris for the explanation..I love that you take time to do this for us.

It may be that my eyes are deceiving me..Although if guys from MWD are also think so, it is a cause for concern considering that I consider them experts when it comes to female figures..I know its not fair to you as an artist and you deserve to interpret the portrait the way you want it but as for me I just want her to look nice beside my Triad DX Lucia and other female in my collection.

Just want as many happy customers as possible! And y'all should know by now I appreciate opinions and work to address any issues I can.

BTW,

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

Looking forward to see the rest to the versions and at this point, guess I would pick one of each for my kitbashing......close mouth.....close mouth....for next please.....

OT: Will we able to see the painted version anytime soon...I wonder?

I'd also like to see the closed mouth for the battle damage vesion...give her that "determined" look :rock

Also Chris...I wanted to pass along this feedback from phantom11 at MWD:

Chris, as I wrote earlier, I don't think that head is oversized, and share the same dislike for pinhead "heroic" proportions on the sculpt. Granted the wax cast will cause a bit of shrinkage, but I'm hoping that is kept to a minimum. I think the work as presented in the last photo is great, and am looking forward to the subtle detailing you'll add. It's a sculpt that will be deserving of a very special body that can capture her proportions properly....

Given that we may not see the Evas from Triad soon (which I feel would suit her perfectly), I may have to do some radical breast reduction on an Otaku body. Bottom line: the headsculpt deserves the best body that can be found out there.

I haven't checked in for a while, so I was excited to see the prototype!

I think it looks fantastic, though I'm with the few that think it's a touch too large. However this probably won't be a problem as she will be clothed (right guys???---here's hoping, anyway...) .

Keep up the good work, buddy.
