I think the salute limits what can be done really. I mean, I'd personally say it was a mistake to go that route for a pose. Most hate it in general due to the fact that it's her using the wrong arm, but I just don't think it was needed. Does Supergirl salute a lot? I can't seem to find any pictures of her doing so, but I'm not someone who follows her enough to know.

I think her even simply levitating off the ground with her arms down by her side would've looked better.

But aside from the hair, it's mainly the fact that she really just doesn't look young and vibrant enough.

Wow why can't ss go for the more simple poses and do the ones in the pics above. Its better for everyone. When they try to do something different more realistic chances are it normally turns out bad. I would kill for the first SG whew! So nice and classic long hair. The second is fine too.

I agree, when I think of Supergirl I picture a 19 year old Dallas Cowboys cheerleader with Platinum blonde hair and a super cute face.

Yeah. I do hope they redo at least the hair. Shouldn't be too difficult and it's obvious it's not done right.

No, No Platinum. Platinum are for those Hugh Heftner harem. Her hair must be golden blond.

Complain for the day: It will takes forever for the next SG. They'll probably figure out on an evil variant first. Oh, SSC, can't you messed this up on Joker? Wouldn't make much of a diff on his face.

She looks older than Powergirl. Anyway, I think the sculpt will be changed so not too concerned. My biggest hope is that there is a change-o head. At the very least that will mean that better custom replacements can be produced. Also hope there is a change-o arm. I think folks have been so distracted by the portrait that the saluting pose has been forgotten.

The body sculpt is super fine and the cape too as if they can make it wavy/undulating like that, they're probably too lazy or in a rush to make em bend up. Its the head that don't have much cuteness to it. Head is fine and attractive to an average woman but this ain't a woman but a girl, dammit! *shakes fist at SSC!*

I very much so agree with all of bolded statements. I'm digging the body, and even the sculpted clothes. Which for me is a big no-no for pf's usually. I love fabric. Howover, this one is just so sexy. I really want it, badly, and I want to love it. Sadly, unless there is a swap out head, and possibly a detachable arm, I don't think I could ever truly love this pf.

There's a lot I like about this statue, but I wonder if we chose the wrong time to move away from Artgerm. Take away the hair flower and large lion base, and I think the bottom pic could've been the basis for a beautiful flying PF. Of course I'm very biased to that costume. ;)

In terms of "saving" the existing statue, the fixes seem simple to me. An alternate portrait, which is probably in development. And an alternate left arm - which is already removable - to rest by her side, on her hip, fist pump.... anything.

Well remember guys when Superman first appeared he also had a different head sculpt and that changed before the PO. So lets hope they see the outcry and make a change.

Well that is some good news. Did not think SS ever made any changes this far along in the process.

It depends on where it is in the prototype phase. If it hasn't met Licensor approval yet and hasn't been put up for PO then there's a chance. After those two steps though they seldom make changes, though that has happened too.

A switch-out head and arm would change the entire feel of this statue. I really hope SS considers these changes to win over more of their collectors. Credit to artist Estela for the hastily detached head (and the original photographer of course ;)).

Yeah, like I said, swap out arm would be amazing and completely doable/easy. It would be an insta buy for me if there was a swap out arm/hs.

Let's be serious here for a minute...

What are the chances of SS altering the head sculpt. Because...damn.
