This JND levels of ****. Lol!

Well, that was underwhelming.
The extras are decidedly not very good, and I'm not digging the color either. I mean, I think I get what he's trying to achieve with the color grading, but so far it's not working for me.

Well, usually all you need from extras are quick reaction shots, and these are not looking very good. As I said, so far it's not working for me. Still looking forward to the actual "teaser" trailer.
Also, the color grading reminded me of the Wachowski's Speed Racer. That one was also very saturated and it actually looked gorgeous in the cinema.

We’re really judging off the performances of extras from a thirty second clip?
The fact that the director of an entire universe thought tons of close up shots of untalented extras going “ooh, ahh” in said thirty second clip was a good idea means something. This looked like a phone commercial.

Had they been shot at a distance,
still looking to the sky and pointing,
perhaps in a more mysterious and visually captivating setting?

At night, in the middle of the city instead is an idea. It’d be much more light handed and a tasteful cinematic viewing. Which is what a Superman film should be, light handed.

On what planet does that sell your audience on your Superman. It lacks style.

Sountrack preview has been released!

1. “What’s in your wallet”
2. “Safelite Repair, Safelite Replace”
3. “Nationwide is on your side”
4. “Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there”
5. “Reach out and touch someone”

That last one is iffy!

Exactly. It looks like **** we’d see produced for a quick company commercial to get jokes.

I want visual art.

Um most of them are shot from a distance. But I'm sure we're also meant to identify with these people, and not see them as random nobodies pointing to the sky. And I'm sure Gunn is going for a much more authentic and less overly styled look like we got with Snyder, where every frame was beautifully and carefully composed but none of it felt real.

I mean I know we're determined to hate this movie in here, but these arguments just sound silly to me.

I don’t care for Snyder’s work either,
but visually? Compared to this? No contest.

These people are Superheroes, he’s flying,
why make it look like anyone could have shot it.

Nothing about this looked remotely authentic nor genuine. One look at these people and I see they’re no actor.
