If the movie trailer was scored like this, I might have gotten on board.

You said it man.

You keep bringing up Twitter, it's weird.
Cause I literally saw you there. And I brought it up once . And I may have said mos has the best Superman fights but u think bvs was a bloated mess of a movie

Snyder films are ugly.
The thing about Snyder films for me, is that if you went back in time and found me when I was somewhere between 16 and 20 years old, gave me millions and millions of dollars and all kinds of resources, those are more or less the movies I would have made and more or less how I would have treated the characters I grew up with.

I was wildly dramatic and almost comically cynical in those days. I was dark as hell both as a defense mechanism and for catharsis.

So for me as an adult, most of his imagery -- even when it looks beautiful which it occasionally does -- and his characterizations land like teenage angst and not in a pleasantly nostalgic way.

Now this is just me. Maybe I'm projecting too much of my past experience and character on it, maybe not. Snyder just feels like an overly edgy teenager making music videos to me.

Gunn ... as I've said before I'm not a fan. I've found a lot of his work forgettable, repetitive and predictable. But I did love the first Guardians film, it felt like everything landed right. So I'm hoping for things to gel for him in this movie and confess I can't predict anything by the trailer although right now, I really do like it and don't have any set expectations.

I don’t understand why Christopher Reeve son just doesn’t play Superman. I mean he looks just like his dad and is super handsome.

I mean, what a crazy honor that would be that movie would easily make $2 billion.

“We were trying on all these different versions, and we screened tested with trunks and no trunks,” Gunn said. “And one of the things David said is that Superman wants kids to not be afraid of him. He’s an alien. He’s got these incredible powers. He shoots beams out of his eyes…He’s incredibly powerful and could be considered scary. He wants people to like him. He wants to be a symbol of hope and positivity. So he dresses like a professional wrestler. He dresses in a way that makes people unafraid of him, that shows that hope and shows that positivity. And that really clicked in for me.”

“I think trying to pretend that Superman’s costume doesn’t have some frivolity to it at its base, trying to make it look serious, is silly because he is a superhero,” Gunn added. “He’s the first one, brightly colored and that’s who he is.

“It’s humorous, but it certainly is not as [comedic] as either ‘Suicide Squad’ or ‘Guardians,'” he explained. “There’s plenty of humor in it. People like Rachel [Brosnahan, who plays Lois Lane] are so funny and David is very [funny as well], so there’s humor in it, but it’s trying to create something that is grounded, but also it’s an incredibly fanciful world. It’s fantasy, it’s taking from other things like ‘Game of Thrones’ where it’s this universe where superheroes actually exist. What are they like? There’s a magic there that’s undeniable.”

It looks like a TV movie. Trailer not doing it for me. I enjoyed the first "Guardians" movie, but nothing since from Gunn, and that hasn't even aged well. I sense another JJA-esque project here with some "clever" casting, a cute gimmick or two, some visuals that might land but otherwise it's evaporating as it's being watched.

Have fun with it, folks.

I’m just getting tired of DC giving us bits and pieces of iconic comic book series.

I don’t understand why Dark Knight Returns had to be broken up into 1,000 narrative and visual pieces and inserted into different movies or even why this new Superman needs to wear the freaking Kingdom Come S, it’s all disjointed and makes no sense.

It’s like just give us the proper cinematic adaptions of those stories already.

Especially ESPECIALLY DKR, and that’s just for starters, sheesh!

When an actor wears the trunks, it's easier to modify certain things to hide the bulge more. Gunn is trying to be diplomatic about it. I could go into the internal hand wringing and pseudo-marketing/politics about this issue, but it's Saturday morning and I'm not prone to spend more extended time talking about bulges.

The entire industry, from a tone standpoint, is going to shift hard into jingoism and Trad-Con concepts. That part is no longer a matter of debate, it's just going to happen. Captain America 4 unfortunately got that memo too late.

You and I are super handsome and we are not professional actors. So it's entirely possible to be super handsome and not be in contetion to play Superman. This logic is irrefutable.

( A lot of children of celebrities want nothing to do with celebrity, especially if they had to see their parents get stalked. If you are famous enough, you'll eventually get stalked. Some people have a harder time with that than others. Natalie Portman has been stalked basically her entire life. Her parents were told, in the early 90s, that if she took the Leon/The Professional role of Matilda, that she was almost a stone cold lock to be stalked. That's one of the trade offs. Many celebrities also don't have the leverage to keep their children out of the meat grinder and discourage them from chasing it. Kurt Russell is legacy Hollywood. He grew up with the current people in power now. His son Wyatt Russell was protected, he didn't have to get sodomized to get parts or break through. Most other people are not that lucky. Whether you are a celebrity or not, most parents, just on a human level, have no desire to see their kids get raped and sodomized then passed around like a bong at a frat party. If you are a young good looking guy trying to break through, expect to be groped. Expect that some folks will try to pimp you out. These are not "normal" people. I like you @jye4ever , you know that. And I respect you. If you met most of these people, you'd probably get a shotgun and clean house. You wouldn't want your kids to even be the next Mr Beast even. Look up someone named Spencer Barbosa on YouTube. She's a mid level "influencer". She managed to parlay it into a clothing line/brand, a small one for plus sized women. She makes a decent living off of it. But she has to deal with random people following her on the street and sporadic freak shows sending her messages about them wanting to rape her and kidnap her. You don't even need to be high level to get this thrown at you. Personally, I prefer people choosing the option where they don't get pimped out. I love you buddy, you know that, but super handsome guys like us don't suffer like the other really good looking people out in the world. )

Ariana Grande just proved to the world that you don’t have to be a trained actor to be a good actor.

She gave an Oscar worthy performance in Wicked so it is possible.

David Ayer is getting crap from Snyder fans for him supporting Gunn.

Leave him alone if you want his Ayer cut of SS then let him kiss ass.

Bow to the ring boy.
