Super Freak
It's ridiculous that Sideshow can notify and charge me for this when it's not even in the country. You'd think someone might know if a large shipment of huge boxes worth a **** load of money had been sent or arrived.
It's obvious you don't own - or work for - a company that relies on its shipments from China.
This is from a friend with a similar business to SSC:
"I hate to say it but the shipping schedule from China is in a constant state of flux for a wide variety of reasons and production / shipping dates change almost weekly, and they always slip to a later date never move up to an earlier one. There are so many things that contribute to delays; everything from a test shot that doesn't fit as it should - to getting a slot in the injection machine schedule at the factory - to unforseen production issues - to delays in packaging - delays caused by licensor issues - delays caused by paper work that didn't get done in time by someone in China etc., etc. , etc. It's very difficult to give a good answer regarding dates for arrival of kits on store shelves. We try to do our best, but, as much as I hate to say it, I have more than twenty projects going right now so, often times, when I try to give a date for the arrival of kits that information is little more than an estimate. We are a very small company and, as much as we'd like to be able to keep everybody informed, it's just not always possible to update everything every few days."
SSC could have received a thousand 'yes'es from the shipper all the way up until a 'no' hits them the day before Chinese New Year and then.... what?
Nothing left to do but wait for the inevitable shooting of the messenger.
