Did you get to see it on IMAX?

I have the complete Fleischers too. All 17 will be included with the first two movies. The first 9 are on the STM 4 disc edition, and the other 8 are on the Superman II 2 disc edition.

The Fleischer cartoons are pure Americana and a real treat for those who don't have it.

No, I have NOT seen it on IMAX which is why not including the deleted Krypton scene is driving me crazy. I have seen clips and the imagery is wonderful. Singer never felt it contributed enough to the film to include it plus he felt it hurt the pacing but I'm not sure he's correct. I think opeing the film with Supes exploring this part of his life would have set up the return that much more effective, after all the film was called "Superman Returns", he has to return from somewhere. Those I talked to who saw it liked it a lot and the entire Krypton prologue in the original STM was some of the best hi concept sci-fi stuff in the film IMO...

I think Tom saw it on IMAX and maybe DarkLord Dave too.

I found this article about the deleted scene.

I think you're right Pjam, we'll probably get a 2 hour and 45 minute version in the future to spend more money on.

I want the whole SR thing, I think there may be ways to customize our DVD collection to tailor to what we want in the future, e.g. STM2 Donner cut, DVD Extended version, etc. I just don't know if I'm gonna shell out for this set now although it is an amazing "must get"... then again, I can always drop into the Warner Studio lot store anytime I want and get this set too. We'll see... :D
