This set to release next week. I watched it tonight. Decent movie. Not DCs best but still an enjoyable experience.

Just a question I watched this last night but do you guys in America know what a "wanker" is because I don't believe the film makers do otherwise they wouldn't have it in a Superman cartoon. I couldn't believe I heard Supes saying this in a film unless I'm becoming a prude in my old age as I would have thought this was more for a younger audience, oh and the British accents are almost as bad as ____ Van Dyke in Mary Poppins.

What part of England was Manchester Black from? I'm sure they could have found someone from wherever it was, and given the voice actor extensive training so that the accent was flawlessly accurate for a...cartoon.

Inexcusable. :cuss

I wish they'd stayed closer to the original art. Bruce Timm gets old, and there are stories where his style is inappropriate.

I was a bit surprised that & the inclusion of Tossers as well but then I did notice this one is a PG-13 so perhaps they do undertsand the terms used??

That said Americans seem to be amused by the word Wanker for some reason...when I came over to see the Redskins play in 2007 I was talking to some people at the Tailgate before the game & got asked to talk to some guys girlfriend & just say "bloody *******"
Got her voicemail though so all she got was a 5 second message of some random Englishman saying Bloody ******* at her :rotfl:rotfl

Anyway I really liked this one, was well animated, characters were good & the action was fantastic.
One of my fave titles so far.

downloaded this movie FELL ASLEEP was really hyped for it but to be honest me or my kids didn't like it at all. superman vs darkseid was WAY better. I would even say that superman vs doomsday was also better.

Well he was supposed to be from Manchester and I live there and no one sounds like that.

Tosser and wanker are used in this film? :lol I guess the writers must have a pretty good understading of the sexual escapades of their target audience.... :dunno

PG-13

They say wanker in it lol.

Oh and wtf is with old posh english accents in films etc nobody talks like that anymore ffs.

The best thing about this is the wacky punk rock opening credit sequence, including images of Superman from the Fleischer and Super Friends eras. So bizarre, yet cool.

The rest was just okay. I don't think this was a good choice at all to adapt for one of these. Still trying to figure out why they did it.

I think a lot of us Americans still think you guys say 'ello Guvna! If you are going to have British characters, they should be played by British voice actors. I do find it funny that american actors butcher your accent, but British actors can totally nail american accents.

I think it's just because it's easier to understand. I've watched a lot of British shows over the years, so I've heard a fair number of accents and some of them can get pretty thick. Those heavy London accents like in Attack the Block are damn near indecipherable.
