I've been loving these films, but the character designs in the one is one of the worst... I think this is a bit of a filler film. I'm kind of unimpressed with it.

I was worried about that. The sneak peek on the Doom dvd was filled with good art, right up until the end, where it started looking like the animated Batman art from the early 2000's (the one where Joker had green dredlocks). Not the worst ever, but not exactly my favorite.

I totally agree.

I'm loving the look of THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS from the previews though.

Just saw this and thought it was great. I love the Authority but wasn't familiar with The Elite. They make a big deal out of the morality of Superman as a character and it's a big idea for an animated film.

I have to say that I love the out-there designs - it's almost reminiscent of Heavy Metal and not of any DC comic style. It really fits near the end with what happens - makes the whole story more disturbing.

Marvel may be firing on all cylinders with their live-action, but their animation is still for kids. Whereas DC has knocked it out of the park with their approach to the animated movies.

I had some money left over in my Playstation wallet, so I decided I'd check this out, and, as Dave said, I loved it. It's probably one of my favorite DC animated films to come out of this line. I'll definitely be picking up the Blu-Ray soon. Afterwards, I may try to go back and pick up some that I'm missing. Thus far, I think that I need to pick up: GL:First Flight, Crisis on Two Earths, Under the Red Hood, GL: Emerald Knights, and the two Superman/Batmans.
