Wow, that's a total kick in the crotch. Her E-mail says: "Pls find the attached pics for your approval.", and I'm supposed to give approval before casting.

All I can do is ask her at this point, regardless.

Members, please don't take it as given that the artist will sell this to you right now from their Ebay Shop.

I recently paid for a Bill Bixby head that was put on there the same way that these are on there now. After a about a week I was given a refund and was told that there was not enough orders to cast the head.

It appears that many of the heads on the Ebay store are more like an expession of interest.

William Shatners Toupee- I will be sticking with my order from you as it was you who started all of this and they would not even be on there if it wasn't for you mate.

I suggest that everyone else do the same and support our members. :)

I'm interested to see this progress but the sculpts are not what I expected. While I'm not going to buy these I am definitely going to see what our member do with them

WST-at least she used the picture that you supplied for the ebay pic.

Thanks man! I appreciate the kind words.

The whole point of trying to gather a group commission was for everyone to collectively divide the costs of commissioning her to get the brothers made, so though It's a few bucks more, that's just the divided up cost for getting it done. Not even a third of the people who expressed interest have paid yet. Now maybe they wont. C'est la vie. I wanted the Supernatural heads regardless, I'm just surprised she was THAT fast about it.

You raise an interesting point with your Bixby story, Zedex9r, in the sense that she was probably waiting to cast yours and whatever interest she got along with the commissioners. Now, since she had to make 1 anyways, I don't know why she wouldn't cast two, but it made me realize I probably still am in an approval stage where she can make changes like I am supposed to have. It took me a few minutes to process that train of thought, but she's "feeling out" orders much like i was, to prepare for when she's ready to cast the heads.

I hope they come through and still get them through your commision. As you stated, there may be a final design change, which is one of the reasons to stay on this list. With the collective feedback of the members interested, these heads will probably end up even better than they look now, and right now they look amazing :google

What you have done in getting this off the ground is something to be applauded. To tell you the truth I was actually interested in getting custom sculpts of the Winchester brothers even before you took the plunge, but never got around to doing it. I was going to get these done for myself no matter what the costs, but you doing it as a commision has helped keep the costs down for everyone involved. I hope you will not end up being out of pocket.

If not everyone ends up getting these heads through you, then please let me know. I would be happy to pay extra to help cover your costs. :)

cheers Mate

Please email with the costs on the heads as I still want them. And maybe she can fix Sam's hair a bit while she's at it.
Interesting on the Bixby. I know she makes them and sells them....I have one.
Regardless....I WANT THE WINCHESTERS!!!!

Have you ever thought of approaching the fans of these two on places such as live journal?

I have one, and These two are very popular round those parts so to speak, and I think they'd just love them. :D

I'm in complete agreement with this. I was a short time away from commissioning a set for myself.

I'm liking Sam's hair, myself. It's exactly the way it looks in the season two promo pics. I could recognize him instantly. I'm incredibly impressed with the sculpt of him because I originally thought he might be kind of hard to capture. I was proven wrong.

Dean looks good, too....but there's something off with him. As much as I've stared at pics of Jensen Ackles  , I'm having a hard time putting my finger on what it is, but I'm kind of tempted to say the sculpt of him could look a bit younger/smoother... Can anyone here tell me if they might think that, or it is just me?

To me the face looks a little wide. Plus the nose is wrong. The nostrels are to wide, it's to pointy, Dean's nose goes up a bit and to the left a little bit.(Am I makeing sence?) Jensen also has a little bit of a scar on the left side of his cheek not too far from his mouth. Plus where's the stubble? Neck looks a little thick too. :D

My Dean sculpt is almost done if anyone wants to see it and give me opinions on it let me know and i'll try and gets pics of it tomorrow. I still have to add his ears(I hate sculpting ears) and stubble. :)

Yeah show it to us. I still like the Sam but I would vote for the hair to be longer like in S3.

I mailed her several time about the iris sculpt and she answered me she will but as far as I can see, it keeps comig over and over.
Maybe if we all tell her sculpting the iris make'em look horrible, she'll stop someday.
Stop the iris sculpt !!!! c'mon !!!

I don't think the face is too wide. Jensen Ackles has a rounder face than Jared Padalecki. I've actually never noticed the scar on his cheek. Looking forward to seeing yours. :)

After looking over some sculpted heads, I can see what those of you mean about the irises and painting them in. I'm another one that would vote no irises.

I sent back the list of change requests to Ada last night. She said it was no problem to remove the iris'.

The list of requests from the various boards for Sam were pretty small: fix his hair, add moles, and of course, remove the iris'. Dean however needed some work, and I wasn't sure exactly how receptive she would be to doing ANY changes.

From looking at pics, once we remove the iris', there were the other two issues to address. I thought his hair looked pretty darn accurate (again, not the style I asked for, but I thought she nailed the one she did), and his moles are small enough I don't really think they need to be sculpted on, just painted. I called not mentioning those two small changes sacrifices to get the Dean changes done...

For Dean, I asked for the jaw to be raised some. It was too long. I asked for the hair to be made much shorter on the sides and for it to be more rounded on top, and lastly I asked for his eyes to be rounded some on the bottom, as they are a pretty distinctive feature on him. I agree with the nose comments, but again, I had to pick and choose changes as I wasn't sure how many she would be willing to do. I hope I'm not barred from future orders for life, because I haven't heard back from her about that yet. :monkey3

The Live Journal idea might be a good idea, actually. Thanks. My wife has an account there. Maybe I'll cruise there and look.

I would leave the Sam alone w/o changing the hair if we could ge Dean fixed. What you said on the changes where correct as his nose has a bend just the wrong way and the hair needs to be almost straight done on the sides. Thank you for the work and if these work out we should come up with 3 or 4 more that get the popular vote to get made.

Sam's perfect, IMO. Moles can always be added with paint, but the overall likeness is spot on to me. And I loved the hair! I honestly don't think it needs changed whatsoever, it's an accurate sculpt of the season two pictures to me, no matter what hairstyle preference I prefer for him.

I would much rather she concentrate on elevating Dean to Sam's level (which is high) than make negligible changes to an already great portrait of Sam.

Right next to the pic of Dean the face doesnt look as wide as I originally thought.

Damn camera batteries went dead. I'll see if I can get some batteries or take a pic with my phone.

No, Thank YOU, ALL! I appreciate all the thanks. :)

I don't want to accidentally turn my own thread into who we want next, but I do want to say one thing to everyone. NEVER has there been a time where there was a sculptor of this quality so easily accessable, where any figure you've ever wanted was now so suddenly within reach.

My Phanstasm heads? They were my #1 want, and there was NO WAY those were ever, ever going to get made. Now they are. My dream come true.
And you can believe I have my next seven personally wanted heads already plotted out (Doctor Who, Sean Connory from OUTLAND, etc).

I encourage each and every one of you to go on and get that head you want commissioned. You guys want Yellow Eyes or the Winchesters Dad? Go for it!Josette, get those other DARK SHADOWS characters made! And by the Gods, someone just commission a friggin Medival Orgins Kurgan already! (laugh). I know she can do the helmet with it. It would just cost a little more.

If you guys aren't on her mailing list, get on it. She debuts on the average several new heads a week she only shows to her newsletter people that don't make it to E-Bay. 70's detectives, Batman villains, Ghostbusters.

For every head you may want, there's someone else out there who wants it too. You may not get enough people to divide the cost up 15 ways, but even if you get 5, thats a little money you don't have to shoulder yourselves.

I'm gonna be watching for your threads. Get them going, guys! :rock:rock

Does the news letter show any pictures or just the names?

Yeah, I received an email but it was just a list no pictures.
