I can't do photoshop, but I know something that is throwing me off, especially on the Dean, is how the back of the head hardly has any curve as it comes down to the neck so the neck is just a massive block.

The Sam head, it is like the outlines of the shapes are there (and I think SupernaturalAddict's pictures show what details need to be added), but the whole thing is just way too small in proportion to the neck. He has a massive jaw and a massive cro-mag forehead and the sculpt doesn't reflect that.

If the head was in proportion to the neck, I think it would feel more like Sam, whereas with Dean the neck needs to be in proportion to the head. Does that make sense?

Z should take into consideration the height when making the necks. Jensen/Dean is 5'11" and Jared/Sam is 6'4"

That's more an issue for the body you end up using than the neck length I think.

It's almost there. I did a quick paint work on a side shot. I fixed the jaw and neck, back of the head and hair.

...Damn it. Sam for one or another reasons looks nothing like, well Sam anymore. The sculpt somewhat resembles Jim Carey more than Jared. Also now Dean resembles more James Dean than Jensen, the hair remains too inaccurate. I'm not saying this to be a jerk but I am sorely disappointed with these personally. I'd thought that there'd be a greater level of resemblence.

Are Howes' sculpts comming along at all?

Howes has long been out of the equation. That name is dead to us! If you mean the other sculptor I have working on them, they are definitely still coming. He's just been juggling a few head sculpts at once. It's not going to be that long of a wait. Maybe a few weeks till you see something. He needs to finish a prior commission first till he can get back to them.

I think both look like the actors-100%, no but more than they did. I could tell right away who they were. Sam looks like Sam. The fist one looked too asian, this one has the brow fixed so the eyes need to be squinted. Dean does need the hair to go forward not brushed back but it does not ruin the sculpt. I most likley will pick up one of these sets and see what the other looks like.

CH?! That cat is a "D-Bag", the chances of getting him to come through are about as likely as me getting my money back from that stooge.

I really think Z nailed them. The subtle refinements in Dean's brow are fantastic. Sammy's forehead captures as others have said, the Neanderthal kinda look he has. A little deeper & more contemplative & I love the flow of the hair. Oh, mole added as well.

I cannot see wanting any other sculpts after these of the Winchesters. Ok, Bobby would be nice, but I'm getting these & they will be my definitive Supernatural bros.

Just looking over at the pics of Dean, the angles and lighting is not very good, and don't really give the right look and feel of the actual sculpt.
So I took a few more shots in better lighting and angles, have a look if you are interest, and let me know.

I genuinely didn't intend for my comments to be interperated as being intentionally insulting to Z's immerse talent at sculpting, I apologise to Z if he himself considered it as such but I don't think that kind of EPIC FAIL ____ is appropriate. I do realise as an artist that photo's can be a misrepresentation or fail to accuratly portray the subject. All my comments were intended to help Z realise the sculpts at his full potential, also to drive Z to improve his already tremendous talents.

I just showed my two year old the pics of Z's sculpts and she immediately recognized they were Sam & Dean! Pretty good seeing as how they're not even painted! Awesome job Z!

If you read all the comments, I don't believe the epic fail was towards Z but rather that ********* howes.
