The ironic thing about Russell is what got him on the show is that he went into the auditions talking about how all past Survivor contestants were stupid and he could win Survivor with his eyes closed. His whole first stint he continually did his "confessionals" about how dumb everyone else was and how he had the million dollars. Then he lost. Regardless of how popular he is he didn't get the million and title of sole survivor. This time he is trying to prove that he is not only the best and looking for redemption but also that he is better than all other Survivors...again he'll come up short not because he isn't amazingly crafty or because he didn't study the game enough to know it inside and out but because he is too stupid to realize that in the social game, people are still people and if you ____ them they'll ____ you in the end. Three jury members are already pissed at him and his moves around camp will just keep adding that....King Russell comes off like the Dunce when its all said and done. He could play this 20 times in a row after this and I guarantee you he'd make final 3 every time and lose every time. One thing he hasn't learned or studied is the fact that the Jury doesn't reward play, they use the opportunity to get even.

I don't like Russell and I miss very much Boston Rob.

:(

i've been noticing with the farwell speeches at the end of the shows that if they ever did another all star show i don't think alot of these people would be coming back. it just seems most of these people are thankful in either their words or body language that they're done and can get back to the real world.
even Rob just didn't seem to be putting his best forward (except in challenges of course), and when he got ousted it looked as if he was totally relieved to be done with it this time around.

I agree. It does seem that they're tired of the whole thing. Kinda sad but I totally get it and don't blame them.

Years ago, I actually submitted an audition tape for Survivor. I wanted to be on it SO badly!

That last show sucked....they are fooling us too much now with the editing.Cant believe Sandra didnt vote with the Heroes...It means they didnt show us her game plan with the vilains.

Still wanna sniff Pavarti's ____ and sucked her toes though.

the Jury doesn't reward play, they use the opportunity to get even.

Which makes this game and others like it (Big Brother, etc.) complete garbage. Because basically you can float to the end and if enough people don't hate you (because it's more to do with that than people liking you) then you can win.

I really enjoyed last weeks episode and this season as a whole. Very entertaining to me. I'm avoiding the spoilers

I still think Russel is a good player and fun to watch. Amanda stealing the clue was hillarious. The should have arm wrestled for it, or better yet, mud wrestled for it.

this season started off strong, but the ineptitude of the heroes squad is really dragging this season down. "fairness" regarding a hidden immunity idol clue? Are you kidding me? Is there a written rule that whoever touched it first gets it? Amanda should have opened the clue and read it, who gives a damn. Than Coby siding with Danielle? Then you have whats here name voting against Amanda when they clearly had the numbers to eliminate either Russell or Parvati. The heroes squad is an epic failure.

Not sure about this one. I know there's a rule that you can't take anything from someone like if you dig through someone's bag and find their idol you can't take it. Not sure about the clues though. Didn't understand that part either. :lol

Actually "they" didn't have the numbers.. it was always 5-4 villains (Sandra voted for Amanda). So it didn't matter if Candice would've voted with the heroes or not. Amanda was gone.

As far as Sandra.. the reason she changed her vote is because Russell told her that "they" had one of the heroes votes as well i.e. the vote should be 6-3 Amanda (which it was). And if the vote wasn't that.. then the villains would know someone (he was basically saying Sandra) wasn't with them anymore. So it was a passive threat.

Also, you have to see it from Candice's POV: Sandra who was given an immunity idol the week before by Parvati. So for us.. we see all the solo interviews with Sandra hating on the villains. But she never said any of that to Candice. So from her perspective.. another Hero is going home and next week they'll be down 5-3. So when Russell comes and offers her a deal.. why not take it!? Because from her POV.. she has nothing to lose. And again, she was not aware of Sandra initially being willing to vote with the Heroes (or if she was.. she didn't believe it).

i think Sandra made it pretty clear that she would "flip" as long as Candice was sticking with trible loyaltys. Not sure if she expressly told Candince, but we saw Sandra point blank tell Rubert that he better go talk to her. If Candice would have stayed on the Heroes, Sandra would have as well. 5-4 against Parvati. Sandra read the situation that Candice would pull the bone head move and voted for the person being eliminated, like she normally does. Thats one more thing Sandra is really good at. She doesn't waste votes unless she specifically told someone she will not vote for them (like Courtney).

Who can tell with editing.. but at that point Russell had already made his deal with Candice (if I remember correctly).

Damn, Russel is really the Devil.Poor Danielle kinda felt bad for her.

He'll never win the money he's too Evil. But damn you gotta admire an _______ like that..:lol

I just liked the way rupert was able to hold on...even when he should have been done.. i give that guy props :)

:slap :slap :slap Russel got rid of the wrong part of that alliance, Parvati is a way stronger player than Danielle. :slap

Russell is his own worst enemy. His major downfall: his shortsided view. He doesnt seem to look at the 'big picture'

He seems to be more interested in being seen as the best stratagist and idol player ever rather than doing what it takes to actually WIN.

yep, :exactly: last season i think everyone admired him since he came from behind as an underdog, and his playing looked brilliant, but this season he's just coming off as an a-hole and looks like the bully in the kids playground:pfft:
