guess my intuition was correct.
looks like syco (Jonathan) was lying about everything this whole time.
here is a post that one of the mods (jedideni) over at the club house posted on the syco marvel license thread.

i knew this company couldn't be trusted.

"It has come to our attention that Abdel is still working for/with Syco Collectibles. This is after the fact that Jonathan (the owner of Syco) assured us (Erick and myself) during a conference call that Abdel was no longer in any way, shape or form involved with Syco and had been fired.

We can not in good conscience, recommend that any of our members have any business dealings with this company. If you decide to do business with them, you are on your own. Caveat Emptor = Buyer Beware!
