Sideshow just called me. They DID send me the T-1000 for free! :lol So they said I had to return it or cancel it. I'll be able to send the T-800 back tomorrow as well (either seperate or together I'm not sure). Almost got a free figure! :lol

That's funny. Should have said "Huh, what T-1000?".

Nah, that would be wrong. :D

Could always say UPS lost it on the way back :monkey3 Nah, that'd be wrong too. Lousy morals getting in the way of free figures. :lol

Gotta love Sideshow's Customer Service. Always nice, friendly, and understanding. They were laughing about the thing actually. Apearently the shipping label was already made and despite me calling in to cancel on Friday it still got shipped on Monday. Works out though, I'll at least be able to see Doggett, I mean Austin. :D

Nice. He looks better than Arnold. This was a figure I think tighter fitting clothes would have benifited from.

He looks pretty cool, although I haven't taken him out yet. You really want the hook arms with this guy. The bullet hits are awesome looking. So is the metal-finger hand.

The sculpt I got looks clean -- a younger look than Doggett -- and the raised eyes really make him look accurate.

The outfit is nice, Austin badge and detail in the buttons, even has his pen in pocket. For those of you who ever got the BBI Police Uniform (like I did) its essentially the same thing. But nice. I mean, its a cop uniform. Evilface is right, it would be nice to be more form fitting. Also, that t-shirt has to be dealt with.

Now I'll try to bust him out of his twisty-ties before the sun sets.

I'm looking forward to Pjam's moody pictures...

Couple of quickies then I have to run out for a meeting...

Get some nights shots tonight, gotta run!

"Say, that's a nice looking boy."

He's looking cool guys!
I just called Sideshow about them, mine should ship out tomorrow.
I'd really like to know how well the bullet holes work.

Wow. I can honestly say that the paint aps ended up looking much better than the production photos! I am really excited about getting this figure now! Mine should be here on Friday along with his nice bike!

Here's some quick kitchen pictures -- straight from the box to my counter top, no muss no futz...

In this case, better than the production pics.

The light's very dull because its storming in Los Angeles.

BULLEET HITS EXPLAINED: they are magnetic!!!!

There is a tiny "melted" silver magnet on the back of the hits that you put inside the shirt, and the splat sticks! Really nice!!!!

Nice Wor-gar, but uh... nude arrival photos? :D

I haven't decided about that yet.

I don't do LOTR that way -- can never get those damn boots off those figures. So far its a tradition only for SW. But since I do have both T-800 and T-1000... a naughty fight might be in order. :D

Oh, BTW, there seems to be some magnets already inside his shirt pcokets or something because the hits stick without their magnetic backings. In fact, you can use the molded magnets as additional hits this way. There's 4 big hits, 3 little ones, and then several "backing" magnets -- some of my hits have 2 magnets on the back stacked up. Pretty damn cool. You can liter this guy with hits everywhere.

It sounds like Sideshow went all out. Thanks for the full explanation Wor-Gar!
So can some be used as exit wounds?

OK, here's the deal: there are 2 magnets inside the actual body, in each pec of his chest. This holds the big hits very well. All the other little magnetic hits can be attached near the body magnets -- although they tend to jump to the larger piece -- or they can be places elsewhere using one hit to hold it inside his shirt. There's like 9 little hits in all so you have plenty to work with.

Here's a picture with all the goodies...

And a semi-focused CU:

Ouch! That's blurry.

OK, good news and bad news.

Good news: the sculpt is very nice. Not the least bit crossed eyed like Arnold (for those of you who got the exclusive eyes). The magnetic hits are way cool. And so are the hook arms... but...

Bad news: the hook arms are a biyatch to place. The shirt's wrist is very thick and then has a snap on top of it, so there's no easy way to tuck the sleeve into the hook's little shirt portion. Also, all the hands are really hard to remove and replace -- especially that very, VERY fragile metal-finger hand. Someone here is going to break it. Guaranteed.

All in all, a worthy companion to Arnold. They'll look great together. But its gonna take a lot of FUTZING to get this guy to look right. A lot. And once you set him in place, you're not gonna want to take him apart again. So decide, you must, which way you want to pose him.

Oh man. Looks like I'm gonna have to get another one for my motorcycle custom and have the other one with the hook arms and battle-damage.

Yep. Its a hard call which hands to use on just one: both hooks? One gun hand and one hook? One hook and metal-finger hand?

Personally, I think I'll go for the look I have above -- right hand hook and left hand metal-finger... with all the bullet hits I can place. It isn't film accurate, but its more interesting than just a cop uniform.

Sorry, 1st one a bit fuzzy but you get the idea, his t shirt either needs to be pinched and tucked around the neck or replaced with a generic T, no big deal. the sculpt is excellent as are the paint apps and the profile on this guy is sick, nearly dead on. Haven't had time to do much else with him yet, busy day, but you guys will be very happy with the sculpt and the color of the hair is okay, maybe a light drybrush but it works.
