T-800 Arnold: CM or SS?

I'm debating between the two because they're both 24" which will go well next to the SS pred pf and I think they both look great, but is the CM worth that extra $1k?

I just sold my CM T-800 and I say yes. The details on that statue are great. Plus the smell of that leather is awesome. I know that was weird but I really loved it.

I actually preffer the sideshow piece personally.
For a few reasons.

Its from terminator 2 and not 3.
You don't have to worry about the silcone.
Its alot cheaper.


I think though it would probably be best displaying the sideshow peice with something whilst the cm could be a great stand alone piece.

i would not be fussed what movie its from its bad ass, the only negative thing about it is the silicon, but if i HAD to buy one it would be the CM, I have my arnold statue from sideshow that looks more bad ass with more guns and im happy with it. SOOO i dont need to pick

Why did you sell it?

Well for a couple reasons. First one was that It was just too large for me. Storing those CM boxes is just a pain to me and I hated the clutter of it. The brown shipping box just didn't work with my inner decor. Seriously.

Second, I am in the process of slimming down the Ol' collection. I eventually only want to have about 3 to 5 items total and since Arnold wasn't in the same scale as the Sideshow PFs I am keeping he had to go. I am anal about consistency. Seriously.

I'm in a small flat and thats the reason I canceled the predator , it and the box are gigantic. I already have the cm alien !.

And thats my reason so shut up raider.
Plus now I've got a grand.

I mean I do miss Arnold but the truth is I love the space he left behind. I think I am just more comfortable with smaller, less expensive pieces. The Sideshow PFs are perfect for me. Not so expensive that they can be replaced if broken and not too large that you can put the boxes in the closet easily.

very good point, but some off them dont have the WOW factor of the CM, Any one that sees my collection allways points out the CM Items as the best

This is both true and untrue. Really depends on the item. Arnold did have a very nice wow factor. I think part of the reason was also due to the fact that he was so much larger than the other statues in my collection. Most people seemed to gravitate toward the Sideshow 1:1 Arnold Bust over the CM if I was to be completely honest but that might be due to the fact that it had gore and a fancy light.

If I had the money and space I would choose the CM. As it stands though, Having such an expensive item in my collection made me nervous for some reason.

If I had a massive house I would of bought the predator. Its just at the minute I need room to do college stuff and I would have had to buy a custom made pedestal and would of probably wanted it behind glass too....

I still have no idea what I'm going to do with the cm alien.

I do like small statues the best. Busts and stuff. I plan to have a billy ( ikea ) full of them.
Just something I've always enjoyed collecting. I love to have a variety of stuff.

That is a point I don't think a lot of people consider. even the PF's can be a bit tricky to display safely due to their size. I personally like anything that will fit in a detolf. Even though I don't have any kids or things like that to worry about I still think items displayed in proper cases look worlds better. This is also another reason why The Thing PF is bothering me a bit and why my Hulk remains in it's box for the time being.

Big items are cool but not for me.

Ditto. I am keeping the cm alien since its my fave franchisde and my main collecting line but I wont be getting any more.
The statues are way to big for me and then theres the box !.

I need a huge house !.
