T-800 Arnold: CM or SS?

I don't think there have been any major problems , I think its just the fact that it IS silicone and it wouldn't last as long as other things.

I think cm can supply some type of powder to look after them too.

That it dries up and cracks. The figure comes with a special powder to apply to the skin but I don't think it's necessary as long as you take proper care of it.

Easy answer Sideshow, I personally wouldn't want ANYTHING from T3 regardless of how sweet it is.

The Sideshow PF is 22" tall with the base which is probably about 3-4 inches by itself. That Arnold is actually 18" or 1/4 scale which is in scale with the SS Pred Maquette. The 24" (base is about an inch and a half) T3 CM is going to make your Pred look small, and it costs like 5 times more, so why would you even consider that.

Not just you. I was looking at pictures of the CM T-800 on their site earlier today, I don't think it looks much like him at all, whereas the promo pics on Sideshow's site look like they nailed it near perfectly.

I have to disagree with you guys. I think the CM likeness is miles better than the PF. The PF looks off to me and it seems a little too thin as well.

What's cool about the CM version is the bulk- Arnold is a huge dude. Plus, once you put the sunglasses on you totally start hearing the Terminator theme song in your head.... you even may start humming it aloud like me.

For me its more of a movie preference issue than likeness. I do think the SS version looks just as good as the CM one. I do also agree that the CM version looks amazing, hands down but I would never spend that kind of money on a movie that blew ass imo.

I never hear the theme music when thinking of anything that came out of that crappy movie. Now if CM ever got a T2 likeness i'd be ALL OVER IT cuz they do great work.

The CM piece is easily the best one available. As with all CM pieces, you can't see much from photos. The silicone just isn't photogenic and the details get lost. You would not be dissappointed in it.

I understand the hate for T3. Beyond the nameplate though I only saw T2 when I looked at the statue. I know there were a lot of differences between Arnold's appearance in both films but when I looked at the CM I just though TERMINATOR and then that theme song started playing.

I guess it was a combination of the similar outfit, the shotgun, and the glasses. Personally, I don't hate T3 but I definitely don't love it. T1 and T2 fit together very well and T3 was mostly a bunch of fluff. It was also sad to me that T2 had the ultimate villain- the TX was definitely a step down as far as villains are concerned.

the only thing i hate bout the ss is sculpted hair, i absolutely hate scuplted hair and his hair style is hard to sculpt, i give cm the +1 there but when regarding price, ss is much better bang for yur buck.

I can live with the hair, but it does bother me a little.

I think the CM Arnold looks nice, even the likeness is pretty decent, which isn't the case for some of their other human statues. But I honestly just can't see myself spending that kind of change on one statue, and I honestly think the PF looks on par, if not better than the CM, apart from the fact that his arms look too skinny maybe, but hopefully SS can bulk him up some for the production piece. I know I'll be plenty happy with the PF though when I get it, even if he doesn't get bulked up.

Ditto. I am keeping the cm alien since its my fave franchisde and my main collecting line but I wont be getting any more.
The statues are way to big for me and then theres the box !.

I need a huge house !.

lol I know what you guys mean. Me and the Mrs. are actually considering getting one of those self storage units to store all of the huge boxes.

I have the CM and I'm getting the PF. Personally I really like the look of the silicon and the real hair - the more realistic the better. Of the human figures they've done the T-800 is probably their 2nd best (after Sparrow). With the glasses on it's just about perfect.
