left a party one night years ago and was riding behind a friend of a friend was was driving drunk. he ran off the road multiple times and almost hit a telephone pole more than once and was crossing the center line.
For his own safety we called the police and told them what road he was going down.
Next day the guy calls my friend and tells him how he was pulled over on the way home drunk and had to pay the cop the $300 he had in his pocket to let him go.

:whip
... trying to not compare BMs good samaritan act to the internet police ... :D

good job BadMoon, my girlfriend's family was in a car accident with a drunk driver and while they have survived it really took a toll on her mom who has never been the same since.

i hate drunk drivers cause if you want to get technical some people may survive the crash physically but in other more profound ways they die.

I totally hear you Badmoon.... When I was living in Tampa, I witnessed a drunk driver plow through a red light and smash into a car RIGHT in front of me! (it would've been ME that got smashed if I was the first car at the light...) needless to say, the car just sped off! So I had a corvette at the time  and I chased them down.... I called the police and of course their response was "just leave them be sir. Give us the license plate and we'll take care of it....." YEAH RIGHT! So I kept chasing the car, and IRONICALLY we ended up driving right in front of the police station... I get out of the car, and it was some WASTED young lady. I raised my arms signaling "WTF are you doing??" and she replied "I'm coming to turn myself in......" :lol

So we walk into the police station, and what do they say???? "Oh, it's out of our jurisdiction.... Go to the other police station....."...... So let a DRUNK lady drive to another police station?!?!?!

The resolution to the story, a DUI unit car was in front of the building.... I informed them that the lady about to pull away was drunk. They stopped her, and did a check on her.... JUSTICE was served

So I hate that, when people drive drunk then HAUL ASS from the scene of the accident.....

So...I am on my way to work this morning and I see two little cars (I think they were a red Toyota and a white Hyundai, but I could be wrong), and they are engaged in a rage-fest pulling in front of each other and slamming on their brakes, and each trying to keep the other from passing. Each time one elevates the conflict, the other has to one-up him. They eventually get to the point where the red car actually, and intentionally, bumped the white one. I think he messed up his car as he soon had to pull over in the median. I was going to try to get picks, but I couldn't do it safely.

I am curious as to what he would say to a cop if one pulled over to help him.

"Oh, I am OK officer. I think I just did a little damage to my car when I rammed that guy who pissed me off a little while ago. Thanks for stopping, though!"

I've seen this a couple of times on my drive into work. People get really worked up.

What I like to do is if I see a speeder/weaver in my rearview, causing a dangerous situation by weaving in and out and tailgating, etc., if I'm in "his" lane, I like to get right up next to the car next to me and make it so they can't pass (but only by doing the speed limit or slower). I do this for a few minutes, play completely oblivious to the honking and flashing of lights, then eventually they pass or go around me.

Never make eye contact though. I don't know why, for some reason I get a lot of amusement at how angry they get. Again, no eye contact and pretend like you didn't know you were blocking their way of continuing to weave in and out of cars.

I've done something before whenever witnessing something like this, I'm afraid though once I left that the woman/girl probably got it worse whenever I left the situation.

____ING DRUNK DRIVERS!! :cuss:cuss:cuss

l tailed a drunk driver before also.instead of calling the cops l used my camera phone to get ready to capture the guy crashing or hitting someone, then l was going to post the video on youtube.but unfortunately he never hit nothing.

you used your camera phone...while driving...to record another car...genius :wink1:

what do you mean? l could not really do anything any way. no point in getting in a fight over something that does not concern me. the guy was drunk so i am sure he would have no problem hitting me. then l would whoop his asss then l would be the one going to jail. to bad here in canada we cant help take out the trash.

I meant that I've thrown someone against a car for doing something like that...
