That sounds rather funny, considering Hot Toys is now considered the new level that all 1/6 figure companies are measured by.

Go Takara Batman go... oh yeah.

That's because HT Batman came pretty much at the peak of their lesser figures. HT has set a bar, but their best stuff has only come over the last year, 2 years. If you compare their early Rambos to the current ones, you can see leaps and bounds of improvement in the sculpts, and I think the sculpt is the primary point where people aren't fans of the HT Bats, and from pictures I've seen, I'd aggree. Even though I have this figure coming, I am curious to see what HT does with Batman this time around, if they even go for the license, because a Bale head and Batman head with their skin texturing and all would be quite something.

I agree wholeheartedly. One only has to look a few years back at their George Lucas figure. One word comes to mind... nasty!

The Takara Batman would have to be the first for me in not going with the Hot Toys version. Although I have the lowsy Medicom version I WILL get the Takara as soon as I can.

Its just odd for someone like me that has almost everything HT in my collection to pick the Takara. Its because its stunning!

Nice review P!tu.My 7 year old finds you halarious BTW.He especially gets a kick out of,when you say Cracka-lackin and the word that he's only allowed to repeat as biscuit-eaters.

This Batman looks like BB idealized, which is good, the figure seems more slender and not bulky like some of the film images made it look.

Yep. If I had to complain about anything it would be that it needed a bit more bulk to make him look more true to the film.

In a way, I'm glad it's not true to film as far as the bulk. The figure is the better looking representation to me. Most of the time, I wish a figure looked more like the movie, but in this case, I wish the movie looked more like the figure.
