I'm tired of coming to this thread with no new news.

Has anyone found a better deal than the preorder st BBTS for $419???

I would keep it at BBTS. Considering how long it took for the Batman Begins figure to be released, there should be plenty of time to cancel if you find a better price or don't want it any more once pictures start to be released. Plus, BBTS does not charge any cancelation fees.

People get bent out of shape, but if you look at the thread we have a tentative list of everything the figure comes with and it does look like it can justify the price. So that is why people may be reacting this way to your post. Of course some them doing that are ones that had the same reaction at first.

Personally I'll be getting it because I'll have the SSC Indy to use all the accessories with. But the only example we have of Takara and a likeness is the Bale from their Batman, which doesn't live up to the SSC/HT standards we've seen recently.

I'm still left wondering where "RevRanger" got all of his information, since I've been searching the Japanese sites with no luck -- not even a hint as to what the figure specifically includes, except that they ALL say that it is a KOTC version, which goes against the "outfits from all of the movies" idea.

I have a feeling that this one will be bought and parted out on eBay by a few folks so I'm content just nabbing various pieces there but keeping my SSC Indy.

Yes, I thought this too at first, but some of the details are just so random that it made it sound real.

With the price I'm guessing this might be some "Ultimate Collector's Edition" figure and an "All 4 movies-in-1" figure.

Perhaps we'll see the following:

-3-4 Heads...Normal Indy (could be hatless or with hat sculpted), Beat-up/Bloody Indy OR Hatless Indy if the normal one is sculpted with hat, KotCS Indy with Hat, KotCS Indy w/o Hat.
-Various whips...perhaps real pleather material with a wire or something in it.
-Various hands...ungloved, gloved, different pose styles and perhaps hands with artifacts (like the Grail,etc.) molded in them.
-Indy outfit...perhaps also including torn t-shirt (a la ToD style), black tie (from LC), and perhaps even a separate Professor outfit as well?
-Accessories...I'm sure this might be the heavy hitter. Accessories from EVERY movie: The Ark (yes, the Ark), Sankara Stones, Holy Grail, Crystal Skull, Eye of the Peacock, Nurhachi Urn, Golden Fetility Idol, Cross of Coronado, etc. Not to mention the usual Indy gear (whip, pistol, satchel, etc.).

I am certainly interested to see what Takara puts out...

And maybe he'll come with the white Arabian horse he rode in ROTLA. That would definitely sweeten the deal for me, especially if the horse came with some articulation, like the DML horses do. Indy on horseback would make a great action display.

same here haven't found a single thing except the initial blurb about some exceptional accessories. and they all state clearly its an indy 4 version. very strange about those details. wish i could find some more info.

Help me understand what at all there is to lose by pre-ordering at BBTS. Like Sideshow, they do not charge until the item actually ships, and it is simple and quick to cancel an order and without any cancellation fee.

I hope RevRanger was right, but I find it hard to believe this won't be more than a KOTCS Indy with extra hatless head, real leather jacket and whip, and exceptional tailoring on the clothes.

I wouldn't get my hopes too high. Honestly, I think it's just meant to be a modern version of the Toys McCoy figure (in the sense that it's a "luxury" item). They're making a big deal about Toys McCoy being in charge of the costume, and how it uses the "genuine" materials. I just don't see them including everything under the sun with the figure, despite what some people seem to think. That said, I agree that there's no harm in keeping a BBTS preorder for the moment, since you can cancel it with no fees long before it would ever ship.

I really want to see what they are offering. I am also interested in the sculpt. If this is better than Sideshows with a ton a stuff I may pull the trigger. $400 is a good bit for a figure to me. I think their Batman is amazing though.
