I'm 55, have 14 grandchildern and my oldest grandson is 19 years old. And I play with Toys.

You guys who ask how old he is make me laugh. You pose and take photos of your figure all the time and no one questions your age. He never said he was going to actually play as a child does. Play in this Hobby can mean a lot of things, including customizing, bashing, posing and taking photos of your figures. You forget how outsiders view us (collectors) and make snide remarks about our Hobby. Yet when one of our own ask for your opinion he's poked fun of and judged a little too harshly IMO.

No, but seriously this guy, kid, whatever wants to bring a toy on a trip. I did that ____ when I was a young boy, not young at heart. My mom would carry around a toy in my ____ing diaper bag on family vacations.

If I were at the beach, with my girl, my toys would be the last thing on my mind. That and not having HD television. Okay, so it's her week, play monopoly or something. Go out on the beach and have a bond fire, take a walk. Something.

That's a great idea, and when the day is done and every one's asleep, he can take out his Figure, look at it admiringly and have sweet dreams. A no brainer, lol.

If I went on vacation with my wife and son, I would probably take a figure or two with me. I'd spend my day with my family and when the day is done and they're both asleep, I'd take the opportunity to finally pose my figures.

They'll be in your man room when you get back. I'd say keep the figures at home. Even though Berserker Predator is pretty durable, I don't think I'd want to transport a $200 figure if I didn't have to. Do you have any portable game systems or something you could take?

That's all I'm try to say. Just look at all the thread on the Hot Toys everyone is waiting for. Tracker, Thor and others due any day. People can't wait for them. Some even pay more to have them quicker. If a figure came to your door just as you were leaving and you've been waiting for it, what would you do then? As far as transporting a $200.00 fiure I've taken over 20 of them to Shows to display. Just pack them up well. No big deal. Everyone's going to enjoy his figures in his own way, is all I'm try to say.

Whats up fellas? I was wondering if any of you ever take a figure on the road with you?


I'm going to my beach house tonight with my girlfriend. Besides the beach during the day...the nights can be RREEAAALLLYY boring. There's only one tv at the house, unlike my gaming/movie tv it is NOT HD, and there are no dvd players or game systems. Night lift can be kind of boring for me, so I thought about taking one of my HT Preds. Berserker most likely, because he has the least amount of accessories, and his armor is pretty simple when compared to the likes of say a Pred like Guardian, or Wolf. However, I'm not too sure yet...because I've never taken one of my Hot Toys figures out of the house before. Heck they rarely even see any of the other rooms in my house, besides my loft/man room where my collection resides.

I just figured I'd post this topic, and see what reactions I get. I'm not leaving untill around 3 or 4, so I am as of yet undecided. What do you guys think? Any experiences/thoughts to share?

I'll usually take a small figure accessory (Predator Bio mask) with me on vacations, it's nice to see it there laying on the table in the hotel room..

Don't think I'd ever take something as fragile as a HT figure with me though..

I was here five minutes and knew that something like this would happen and things were way less rough in 2005 than they are now. He had to know this kind of thing was coming.
