I haven't watch the video yet (will do later when I have time) but the "loose torso" is an easy fix. Take the top half off and you'll find the peg that it inserts with is actually sitting a bit lower than it should. If you twist it upwards so its sticking straight up, it clicks into the torso nicely like the other figures. I have two and they both came with it "bent" in the wrong direction causing the upper body to fall off. Both are tight now. It's not a fault just bad positioning.

Yeah, when I was checking out why the waist kept coming off, I did notice that the ball peg attached to the hip is on some sort of elbow joint. I did try to straighten it up, but for some reason it keeps moving back down as I articulate the figure. Strange. I might just pull it apart again and adjust if more.

Yes, the articulation that joint is pivoting off is not straight up, it's angled to the back I think. If you pull that straight up then the joint sits up higher and then snaps into the body. It's hard to explain. But its not the joint that goes straight into the torso that is on the wrong angle (although as you mention it does move down) but the one it's attached to that's beneath it in the lower section of the body. The part you need to move is really stiff and takes some force.

Somewhat glad to see mine isn't the only one with the loose torso issue. I took it out of the box, tried to bend it slightly and the figure basically EXPLODED into 4 parts! :D Easy fix as was mentionned, but still hopefully the next releases don't have this problem (it tends to happen more often with the smooth torso / imperial emblem models I've noticed, the chestplates with ribs and pecs don't click off quite as often).

Yeah, that lower joint was a real ***** to move! It's like on some sort of dogleg type joint with the lower part being very stiff. I managed to do it OK and it clicks in better. Luckily I mainly just pose and leave on display so wont need to worry to much about it lol

Great. I just took a cap from your video to show what I mean but sounds like you got it. Moving the second one actually hurt my fingers ha ha. Mine were lower than yours so while yours seemed to stay on if you didn't do much, mine were both in half in the box and the slightest touch would pop the tops off.

If you still have the cap, could you post it? I haven’t received mine yet (en route from BBTS) so I want to make sure I can fix them properly when they arrive. Thanks!

See the bottom of the joint? It's sitting towards the back of the fig. That part needs to be pulled forward so it's centred. It will make more sense when you have it in hand and can see the mechanics for yourself.

Looks like I dodged a bullet on this one. I tried moving the figure around at the waist a bit and didn't have the problem. Thanks momaw for the cap and thanks to Khai for the great review.

Sounds like it must have just been some figs in the run and I scored two with the same issue. But it was an easy fix and at least anyone else now can do it.

Hey guys! New to the forum, I just wanted to say these Tamashii Samurai are honestly some of my all time favorite figures in recent history. I'm a toy photographer and these are usually what I'll carry with me if I'm just looking to bring some toys with me to where ever I'm going because I'm unsure of what kind of locations I'll find to shoot there. They're so fun, so versatile. But anywhere, here's some pics. I'm actually in the process of building some feudal style death star walls for a modular diorama with them.

Thanks guys! I love these figures. Scout trooper would be awesome (maybe pack it with a horse lol??). But we need, NEED Rebels and Jedi.A Samurai Obi-Wan would be mind blowing.

Not a Star Wars collector but I love looking at these creative designs!

Tamashii should start doing the HEROES! Having a samurai-inspired Luke would be awesome!!!

Does anyone know of any 6 to 7 inch scale samurai figures? I know theres some awesome, expensive, new ones coming out. But besides those? Looking for custom fodder.
