Wow i had no idea the Royal Guard's front can be removed, that's pretty cool!

Feb and April 2016 for the Sandtrooper and Royal Guard?!!? Damn, I was hoping these would get released at a much faster rate!

They've had completed Royal Guards, Sandtroopers and Foot Soldiers at quite a few cons before Fett came out of nowhere. Fett was just an artists impression alongside Death Star Vader at that point, so maybe they've moved others along the production line sooner.

Here's hoping.

See the below post from April.

I'm guessing you take the cloak off by popping the head out.

I didn't know until watching a review on youtube, but you can actually pop the arms, legs, and head off. they limbs are held in by a ball suction joint and the head separates at the base of the neck by a poppable peg.

You can also separate the chest piece from the pelvis piece.

This is kind of a cool feature because once you build the collection you could swap parts and make customs a lot easier.

i don't mind the slow pace. Helps balancing the budget and, besides, 1/6 pace will most probably get faster in the coming months, that will help keeping up with both scales.

Every other month is not a bad release frame for them in the next year. These are like $70-80 so it definitively helps that release time frame.

myfigurecollection.net is listing both the Sandtrooper and Royal Guard as Tamashii Webshop exclusives. :gah:

The Sandtrooper looks really nice, but unless these will be made in 1/6 or at least 1/7, the Stormtrooper Samurai I already have is enough.

I wouldn't worry too much about them being a webshop exclusive.. A lot of other Bandai releases are exclusives, like the SH Figuarts Dragon Ball Z figures or many of the Saint Seiya Myth Cloth figures, and they still end up massively available, to various markets.

Now I'm thinking of getting two more Stormtroopers instead of the sandtrooper.

I was rearranging stuff and stumbled upon this sic figure I got long time ago. He could pass as a Mandalorian bounty hunter with the mask design so he'll be with Vader and the troopers while waiting for Boba Fett.

Thanks! I do not want to miss out on these as they look amazing and I love my samurai stormy.

I notice the webshop exclusives don't sell out too fast while browsing the tamashii bandai japan shop site.

Should I order directly from them (via a proxy service) to avoid paying a crazy markup price or is waiting it out the best way to go?

They don't sell out too fast for the simple reason that there is NOT an specific stock. When Bandai opens the exclusives on the tamashii website, they give a window for ordering. You can expect to be able to order until that window closes and then that's it after that happens. This is because Bandai makes exclusives based on the orders they get from the Tamashii website and what overseas distributors order (like bluefin)
