Hard to say without it in hand but I think I agree. Version 2 looks awesome. Love the crest on his helmet.

Death Star armor looks cool specially the mouth part of the mask but the first version looks more like a traditional samurai armor so I'll stick with that version.

I agree. That death star on his forehead looks dumb imo.

Just got my shipping notice for the reissue Stormtrooper and Vader V2. Should get them before X-mas. Sweet!!!

I dunno, I kinda like the large death star, helps make him stand out in a group of awesome figures. I think if the imperial cog on V1 was larger and cleaner (it seems kinda messy?) Definitely it would be V1 just for the imperial cog itself, but seeing that it's so small, doesn't really help vader stand out. It could still go either way I guess though...

what about the colors and other variations other than the helmet crest? It looks as though V2 has purple in it's color scheme? Raiyuri mentions a variation in the mouth? We should do a proper break down of the differences between the figures!

the tamashii webshop exclusives are only Japan exclusives, meaning if you live in Japan the only way to get them is through the Tamashii site.

HOWEVER: Bandai product in the US is distributed by Bluefin and not Tamashii Nations, which brings everything to the American market regardless of its exclusive status in Japan.

This means that what is a Tamashii Webshop Exclusive is Japan is not exclusive in North America and thus is more easily obtained living in the US.

BBTS, Dorkside, and many other US-based collector sites have had the Sandtrooper and Royal Guard up for sale on their site.

Do don't worry about it being a "Tamashii webshop exclusive", they'll make their way to American e-tailers everywhere.
