the tamashii webshop exclusives are only Japan exclusives, meaning if you live in Japan the only way to get them is through the Tamashii site.
HOWEVER: Bandai product in the US is distributed by Bluefin and not Tamashii Nations, which brings everything to the American market regardless of its exclusive status in Japan.
This means that what is a Tamashii Webshop Exclusive is Japan is not exclusive in North America and thus is more easily obtained living in the US.
BBTS, Dorkside, and many other US-based collector sites have had the Sandtrooper and Royal Guard up for sale on their site.
Do don't worry about it being a "Tamashii webshop exclusive", they'll make their way to American e-tailers everywhere.
The problem with the exclusives isn't in getting them, it's in getting a good price for them. A normal Japanese release Stormtrooper is currently 7020jpy on HLJ.com with 980jpy SAL shipping with is appx $65-$70 total shipped to the US. Generally on BBTS amazon B&N etc...you have to pay $80-$90 + shipping (unless you have a coupon or something). That price difference stinks. For instance: I'm getting 3 of the Royal Guard Exclusives from BBTS $269.97 + shipping. If they were normal releases I could get them from hlj/ami/AE etc for about $200-$210 shipped. For someone that is all in on this line the $20-$30 each savings is going to add up real quick even if you don't buy multiples. The line is new, but has had a lot of exclusives so far a bit over 40% of them:
Exclusives
Sandtrooper
Royal Guard
Drummer
Non Exclusives
Vader V1
Vader V2
Stormtrooper
Boba Fett
Already at this point, for what I'm buying I would have saved at least $100 if none of them had been exclusives. To me, the only one that should have been exclusive is the Drummer variant. Sandtroopers and Royal Guards not only sell well, they are 'core' troop builders. I mean, who buys just one Royal Guard?
