I wouldn't leave him without a stand. His constant pacing during the night would make a rattle and keep me up. At least make sure the restraining bolt is installed. ;)

That's it, after all the moaning and groaning -- "Got mine"?

So what do you think? Where are the pics? Is it worth it?

I'm waiting on your opinion. :)

I would like you to point me out to this moaning and groaning.:) I've always been excited for this figure, nothing but.(posting pics and videos i've found) I've went back and forth a few times, but i'd hardly describe this as what you did.

There's nothing i could post that hasn't already been said or done since i am so late to the game. I will post some pics, but i work nights and they don't turn out so good till the day light. My opinion is this is one of the rare instances where a real high end figure is as close to being worth every penny as possible.

Oh come on, I was joking.

But your praise inspires me based on your hesitency.

I know you were:peace

Yes, i was hesitant. It REALLY stands out among the collection and screams STAR WARS on the shelf.

Die cast works soooo well with 3PO. (Having R2 in the works for sure pushed me over the edge)

I got mine this week as well. The first thing that really strikes you is how heavy the figure is. It's pretty crazy. It really is a beautiful figure. I'm a cheap ***, so even at $340 I feel that it's a bit overpriced, but Star Wars is in my top five favorite things ever list, and this really does represent Star Wars very well. It's also probably the best 1/6 3PO that will ever be produced.

Sell a lesser fig.

Let this post inspire you.

:lecture This is the type of figure that you sell other figures to be able to afford. The type of figure you'd reduce your entire 1/6 collection to two if that was the only way to own it. The type of figure that makes you a better man. The man who owns this figure is a man of integrity and someone to be trusted. The man who chooses not to own this figure is suspect. I shall mount this figure on the bonnet of my 1987 Ford Laser and indulge in an afternoon of motoring, enjoying as I drive the admiring and envious glances of passers-by.

Yeah, kinda what got me in as well. Well, i think in a month if it's not at amazon it will be at HLJ still.

(hopefully)

yeah it seems like a lot now But when he does finale sell out. 340.00 wouldn`t seem so bad once he start`s reaching the 6 to 8 hundred dollar range then we all be kicking ourselves later and thinking I should have pulled the trigger when I had the chance

It's already $250-280 retail in Japan. The $400 pricing seems to be what we get here in North America. People have always placed more value in heavier objects - I'm not denying the quality in this piece, but really, the mass thing is very psychological. I'm certain the margin for this figure is pretty large, even though shipping master cartons of this badboy definitely incurs higher freight charges. And in all honesty, I don't see the upcoming (?) R2-D2 going for a penny less than his counterpart, so I'm already looking at this in terms of 2x pricing.
