Nice one!
Just got my C-3PO...wow. Amazing! I really like it. I don't know what else I can say. I'll post some pics soon.
Here yous guys go. Enjoy!
Glad you're happy with it, riblets! It truly is a great great piece. And it's a nice little set up of exceptional figures you have there!
Sell your own blood...........I'm still saving for this. Passed up alot of figures to get this one. Hope the price doesn't start creeping up on me before I can afford it.
As far as I can tell Amazon still has the best price for it, and seems to have many last time I checked.
Does that mean we'll be getting a full review soon, Wookster?
I apologize if these questions have been asked tens of times before, but it is kind of hard to scan back 300+ pages, so can fellow member enlighten me on 4 important questions:
2- Has anyone bought this new for under $300 including shipment? What would be a GOOD price to get this? I am on the edge of pressing the button for $300 shipped from a collector. Would you consider this a steal?
3- Are there any 'common problems' with this figure, which I should be careful about? Especially when buying from other collectors? Should I have them check anything in particular or ask them to leave the box shrinkwrapped unopened?
I'll take a stab at two of the questions. Under $300 shipped for NEW is probably a price that won't be beat, at least not anytime soon. You can get it from Amazon Warehouse Deals for $295 which might be close to new, but there are no guarantees.
Common problems are the arm pistons coming out. I had two different 3PO's. One had the left arm piston come out, one had the right arm piston come out. In both cases, once I put them back in, they never fell out again (thus far). Someone else in this thread said theirs is very loose and keeps falling out.
Also, on one of my 3PO's his chest metal wasn't... smooth. It had some bumps which annoyed me (which is why I exchanged it for a 2nd one). I can't say that it is common, but it happened to one of mine. The 2nd one did not have this issue.
I should also note that even though 3PO is metal, he can be scratched. I accidentally scratched mine with a finger nail. Thankfully it was on his torso, so not as noticeable, but it could happen.

Welcome to the forums, Thor.I apologize if these questions have been asked tens of times before, but it is kind of hard to scan back 300+ pages, so can fellow member enlighten me on 4 important questions:
1- Is this C-3P0 modeled after the OT character? the wiring around the belly has a few variations on other versions so I wonder which C-3P0 this is..
2- Has anyone bought this new for under $300 including shipment? What would be a GOOD price to get this? I am on the edge of pressing the button for $300 shipped from a collector. Would you consider this a steal?

4- Is this Medicom 1:6 or SS 1:6 in terms of scaling precision?
Thank you for your patience and may the force be with you all!
Thank you very much for the reply.. Just a few follow up questions.. do you STILL believe it is worth the money? Since you mention certain imperfections? I mean would you still buy it if you knew all about these beforehand?
I am getting it shrinkwrapped (as far as the buyer tells me) so it will be new, but now I am starting to get worried, do you think it is a better idea to ask the seller to open the box and check for the pistons? On rebelscum forums I have read someone complaining about BROKEN pistons; not just loose..
and finally, do you think ebay would be a very wrong place to buy this? As far as I understand, if something goes wrong, I can only reach SSC and they wouldn't help me with a figure purchased elsewhere
thank you all for your replies.. I guess I will contact the seller and ask him to open and check.. if he refuses, I will probably go with either HLJ or Amiami or SCC... $300 is too much of a money to take the risk and receive a broken figure without any chance of part replacements...
regardless of the flaws, as far as I understand, everyone here is impressed and pleased with the overall quality of the figure right?
