that's the thing...local seller did open PO this for $250 a while back (too bad at that time I wasn't interested in this figure), and I'm hoping to get this figure for $260-$280, but this piece is not too popular in my country, so there's not many stock here, and people keep selling this at $350.

that's why when my friend offered me at $300, I'm really tempted, cause right now it's the best price I could find at locals...

I thought ebay would be littered with the Hasbro R2 from the 12 inch series but there isn't many. Two at auction and others priced ridiculously. If anyone has one they want to let go at a reasonable price hit me up.

Totally agreed regards the prices I wanted to get a couple for customs but they're so expensive now.

Even though the scaling is off between the medicom R2 and Bandai 3PO, they don't look that bad next to each other.
Selfishly, now that I have mine I would love this figure to jump up in price

Mine arrives tomorrow. I wasn't going to get it at first because of the $400 price tag but I managed to find one on Amazon for $280.00.

I'm sure it will be jumping in price more sooner than later , especially when R2-D2 comes out.

Just finished the eye mod. PJB-1138's instructions made it really easy (thank you!!) and it definitely makes an already A+ figure marginally better.
