Got him - he's pretty decent, love Tarkin's outfit and the likeness is definitely there, although the paint is a tad... dramatic on the face.

Love the torture droid. I never realized that they probably put 2 R2 tops together to make this droid - funny the things you see with a 3D example in front of you.

such a tease, pix please. Might get this with a total ES of only 750, still cant believe how cheap this is compared to the recent releases, can get it for $310 shipped

tarkin is a significant & important character in star war than many of the other pf characters that were released, just he's an old guy and bit boring so not as popular, but definitely oldschool and you know there wont be another tarkin released ever after this....

I'm actually thinking more and more that it was a good idea to cancel my order on Tarkin. With the quality of PFs and HTs coming out I need to focus on much bigger fish. Not to mention those darn LSFs...next year is going to be epic!!

I think this Tarkin is a combination of ANH and ROTS Tarkin check out post #186 and see what I mean.

sorry, but I don't see ROTS Tarkin at all in that sculpt. I'll admit, it's not 100% Cushing, but that other guy is nowhere in there. Also, he isn't meant to be for two reasons I can see:

1. The piece is "Grand Moff" Tarkin, which he wasn't yet at the end of ROTS

2. Look at the insignia badge, it matches with Cushing's character, not the other one.

Just my two cents.

i think jkno meant ROTS Tarkin's pose was used. Looking at the photos, the statue has ROTS pose & ANH face. If the inhand photos look as good as the ones sideshow has i will buy it. It's obviously not as good as that $20k bust, but i think the sideshow face photos look outstanding, also the droid is really cool to have.

Looks ok but I'm holding out for the 1:6 version. It's missing a bit of Cushing, so I hope that the 1:6 version gets a better sculpt. Can't wait to see some in-hand pictures.

You really don't see the trademark gauntness of Cushing in the photos, but in person it's readily apparent.

Thanks for the pics! It looks ok/good to me. Face isn't breathtaking, but when you say Cushing is there if you see it in person I am ok with it. But hey, no lazy eye ^^
