Struggling to see $350 worth of PF on this, for an OK likeness and simple tailoring this should be $280 tops.

nah the price is definitely justified you get a 1/4 mixed media statue AND a 1/4 droid all for $350 ($310 from resellers).

looking at the recent prices of the newer releases this seem like a bargain to be honest. But I know if i get this the face will have to be repainted by josh. Will eventually pull the trigger as he is such a critical character in star wars especially if you collect the dark side and there wont be another tarkin..for years if ever. All those minor alien jedi pf from the video games i can do without, not this.

I think those who see this in person will be impressed with it. The clothes are very well done and the sculpt and paint look very good overall. Plus the droid is an added bonus.

Excellent point. Tarkin doesn't get much love from manufacturers, even Crapsbro only did a handful, so if you are into the 1/4 line - This one is the one to get. Don't see another being made soon.
Now, looking at the GG bust pic - I do think his chin is too wide/square.. Easy fix for someone who's into customizing though.

The sculpt is great indeed, but the paint job is not as good, I really don't like the hair lines, but the face is not perfect either. With a repaint by a pro like Silent Surfer I'm sure this would look fantastic.

This matches nearly to every SSC product. You can't compare the mass product with a work of "a pro".

That is true, but this PF (like Leia Slave PF) really needs a repaint. I love and collect OT Imperials and troopers, but I simply do not see enough of Cushing in there to want to add this statue to my collection. And that is the most important thing with a human face - likeness, for me it still looks off or something. The Interrogator Droid is very cool but not worth paying for a statue that I don't like enough.

There's no need for a repaint on this piece. The photos you've seen so far don't properly relay the paint work.

The piece, in hand, is incredible... pics coming momentarily.

Someone asked 'where the money is' in this product. My answer is, it probably went into this huge droid, and the superior paint application. The droid is literally the size of a grapefruit, and it feels like metal (even if it isn't.. I can't tell). And for the paint apps, behold:
