I say again: I love the droid. That is all that I really like about this statue, especially with the detailed pics above.

The droid is awesome. Seems like easily 1/3rd the cost of production of this piece.

I definitely see Tarking in this, but not Cushing, if that makes sense. It has more of the OT Tarkin in it.
Cushing's face is slender, but not bony - This PF is the other way around, and you can really see it in the last pics ( excellent pics btw! ) . The PF is too bony.
I don't have the needed skill, but maybe someone can put the two side by side? The PF from this pade and Cushing as Tarkin from a few pages back?

EDIT: Think I know where the problem is. The eyes! They are too dark/sunken in on the PF:

Sculpt is there, but the paint is VERY heavy-handed. It looks like they really caked it on. Droid looks great.

I don't know but I'm liking what I'm seeing. That's all for the great pics. I'm looking forward to adding this my collection.

Take back what I said earlier about value, the droid is pretty neat now that I've seen some solid pictures of it.

Yeah, the droid definitely rocks. I would like to dedicate an entire cube to the droid accessories.

As for GMT, I was looking at it again today, and my pictures still don't do it justice. The huge photos I posted show 'too much' detail that isn't noticeable with the human eye. It is just so great in person. It's not that the likeness is exactly dead-on, but it is very very good, and really looks like a scaled-down human being standing there. Not that everyone needs a GMT in their collection, but if you do decide to pick it up, you won't be disappointed.

Someone asked 'where the money is' in this product. My answer is, it probably went into this huge droid, and the superior paint application. The droid is literally the size of a grapefruit, and it feels like metal (even if it isn't.. I can't tell). And for the paint apps, behold:

Very well done Sideshow!

By far the best Tarkin figure to date and doubt there will ever be another done as well.

The eyes don't look blue enough to me. Maybe it's just the distance though. Are they actually the same light blue Cushing had?
