So is all hope gone?

You won't get an answer from Sideshow. I believe they are legally not allowed to comment on products until they have been officially announced on their website.

Aren't those extras incredible?
The batmobile doc was great too.
Had a tear in my eye when they took the Tumbler to that hospital.

That Children's Hospital is in my home town. I was working the day they were at the hospital. I was bummed I missed out on seeing the Tumbler in person, since it would have been just a ten minute drive from my work, but I suppose it was for the sick kids. :) I was glad it was included in the documentary, as I recall when they came through, I was kind of choked up when I heard about it.

Also, when do you guys think this will come out? I'm just wondering when we could see some preorders.

It was a great thing. I have known a lot of people who have suffered through cancer(My cousin's 2 year old had cancer of his bladder, so i spent a lot of time at the local sick children's hospital) and the visual of those kids pulling their drip beside them to go and see the greatest batmobile ever brings a tear to my eye just thinking about it.

As for The Bat, i'd reckon it will be the normal lead time.
About a year from them saying *we are making this* to the point you can get it delivered. Minimum.

A year huh? Well it gives me plenty of time to save and I'll have something to look forward to.

So...that's it with the 1/6 bat?
So the biggest hot toys proyect now is the 89 batmobile?

I'm curious as to how many people who complain about this being 1/12th scale would've ACTUALLY purchased a 1/6th scale version. I'm not calling anybody a liar, but I have to wonder if they actually realize how big this thing was going to be. It took seeing it cancelled to get me to realize just how unrealistic an expectation it would be to ship this thing, and that kind of space isn't exactly available in every room.

Hell, even if, by some miracle, I was able to get a 1/6th scale version, it would've probably wound up staying in the box for a few decades. I'd rather have a smaller version that I could display than an in-scale version that would allow me to role play an episode of Hoarders.:lol

i had seriously wanted this and will be glad if 1/12 is the direction they've decided because, yes, it would be ridiculous.

I was never going to pay for a 1/6. I never even entertained the idea since I knew it would be way too big, and cost a small fortune. Something like that you would easily be looking at over 2G's.

When they announced the 1/12, that was a no brainer for me.

I would have.I have a rug with the footprint of The Bat in my front room, was under no illusions about the size. Was why I loved it so much.We re not all dreamers or fantasists.I am always ready to put my money where my mouth is for something I love. And I'm not loaded either, work damned hard for what I have.

Who is actually glad they are making this in 1/12 scale? What other HT items can you display this with? Do you want a 1/12 Tumbler and 1/12 Batpod and Batman too? HT is pretty stupid to make this so small to display this by itself. I'm sure they will go head to head with other model makers that can make a more accurate Bat.
