Thanks guys always good to get positive feedback,,,keeps you going when doing a build like this

Is this being done with a 3D printer? Oh… it's not. Hmm…. Seems so clean. How is the detail so good on the, thrusters? Thats what made me think 3D.

Hi
Just a few update pictures
Main Spine and Backbone pretty much there now

The section linking the spine with the back cockpit wall is just about there, but will add some detail at a later date, I have made the cockpit back wall to incorporate the gun turret housing for added strength

Again I have tried to make the bottom "knuckles" look like an engineered solution

I will concentrate on the "ribs" next that carry the underside plates
I will be using carbon fibre tube for the ribs
Hope you enjoy the update

This may be the coolest and most ambitious "from-scratch" 1/6 fan made project I have ever seen. Good luck and and I can't wait to see what you do.

WOW!!! Truly remarkable work, Laborman! I'm sure I speak for many when I say that I will be following your progress feverishly!

Will post some more update pictures of the 1/6th build next week

work has been a little crazy but have now got a few days leave so keen to get back to it

Cheers

Just a quick update
Got a few hours yesterday to work on the model, and managed to get one side of the ribs mounted

I am using carbon fibre tubes for the whole of the rib cage, using6mm carbon for the outer tube and 4mm carbon for the inner tube
Its very rigid and very strong
