Has there ever been a feasible explanation of how an 80-year-old Man,in a basement seemingly on his own could build something like that?

- Fox is not 80
- The Tumbler was built by the R&D department of Wayne Enterprises under Fox's supervision
- I'm sure The Bat will be a secret Wayne Enterprises R&D project as well

Yes or you could read between the lines. Like the cowl in Begins is assembled from different parts. The main piece is made in China and they order them by the 1000s so as not to arouse suspicion.

Similarly the Tumbler/Bat could have been developed in different parts with different people working on various aspects, so no one R&D person has seen the actual final assembled piece.

There is obviously a lot that has to be taken with a grain of salt and a dose of imagination but at the same time, it's nice not to be force-fed every little detail so all plot points/aspects of the story are 100% watertight.

not to mention we are trying to talk logistics about a guy who dress like a Bat to stop crime. Sometimes fantasy is just that

That already looks bigger then what they showed in the teaser the cockpit is the only thing that is probably a true 1/6 scale in order to fit the 2 figures the rest looks shrunken down. I felt the copit was very large in comparison to the rest of the frame. And looking at the stands you can gage the length of the model

Just watched the new spot--"I'm retired." Hah! So much like The Dark Knight Returns there. That plus Knightfall, The Cult, and No Man's Land. Talk about a greatest hits list of Batman stories to inspire this film. So wish July 20 was this Friday!

:exactly:
This will make Avengers look like a DS video game. Batman is going to come back with everything he's got at his disposal (The Bat on the top of the list) and clean out Gotham once and for all................:yess:

Not sure what picture you're referring to.
