They are NOT releasing the 1/6th version now

So a couple of us are trying to scratch build 1/6th versions

Ok here we go 1/6th Scale Bat Build

I did manage to find a printer that could enlarge the plans to full 1/6th scale which does make this build a little easier

For those who want an idea of how big a 1/6th bat really is, one of the pictures enclosed shows a 1/6th tumbler for scale comparisons

My concept for this build will be to replicate as close as possible the full size bat, and to make it a more engineered solution as that is my background

I am very lucky in that I have access to a profile machine that can cut out a lot of my parts in Perspex, so the majority of the componenets used on this build will be Perspex

I will start on the spine first so will post a few photos shortly

I decided to start with the rear engine section and then build my spine up from there
As I said earlier most of the build will be from Perspex

The one good thing about having access to the profile machine is once a drawing is produced its very easy to reproduce the parts

No worries. I am *very* glad to see someone else tackling this in 1/6. I am still waiting for my styrene supplies to get here.
But i have no doubts you will still beat me to the punch!
And i shall enjoy seeing every one of your images.

First attempt at the basic chassis spine
Still a few things to add
I have added a picture of the original full size bat chassis to demonstrate what I am trying to achieve with this build

I have noticed a few little "tweeks" that I want to make to the basic chassis before moving onto the next section
I will be concentrating on the section that meets the back of the cockpit next
