Yeah it is a much darker movie.
The ending gets your heart pumping!
Im still waiting for a decent release of T1 on bluray. That Lowery restore has been long overdue.

Too right mate! I bought the blu ray of T1 the other week despite hearing all the negative reviews about it. Wish I wouldve listened as its no different to my DVD, only my DVD has waaaaaay more bonus features!:lol

I grew up watching Michael Myers slice and dice people so those scenes had no effect on me. :lol

Its not just the scenes but its the overall feel of the film. Its VERY much a horror film with the T800 stalking Sarah like Myers did Strode.

They are releasing a T1 blu here in the UK soon but everyone saying its just the same version as the US.
I think we will have to wait a long time for the Lowery version as I heard rumours that its not getting released now as the new studio does not want to spend much money on it.

Of course I love first one too but for me T2 was a mega action scifi flick and I watched it almost every few months growing up. Its still one of my favs of all time.

same here, repeated vhs viewing while breakfast lunch , dinner , ahh those were the days u watched a good fim 3-4 times , nowadays u firget all abt the movie once its over

The US version is the one I have. Its such a shame it was such a let down. Im sure it'll be done properly at some point....:impatient:

The Lowery remaster is meant to be the improved version but doubt we will see it now.

I see. Then thats a shame too. Im actually fine with the picture quality of my DVD and Blu Ray but I would like the original sound and all the bonus features my DVD has. That would do it for me.
Speaking of the sound, does anyone know which DVD edition has the original sound FX? Its been sooooo long since I heard it.
