Hit me with that picture cos i like T2 better as well. :lecture :lol

Seriously though, T2 is a great family friendly action comedy. T1 is a gritty masterpiece of sci-fi and horror. Both are great for what they are. Different strokes for different folks.

Yeah the T-1000 made it really great.

:hi5:

I got 3 editions of T2. :lol
One VHS, one on DVD and one Blu ray. Managed to pick up the Japanese Ultimate edition steelbook bluray of T2 but then months later they released version 2 but it cost me a lot so wont double dip just for the 2 deleted scenes which I have on the DVD and soundtrack.

Nice! All this T2 talk is making me want to go home and watch it. :lol

I think there is more nostalgia for T2 across the board, because lots of kids in the 80s didn't see T1 when they were kids, and if they did, they shouldn't have and probably got a bit scarred from it :lol . I actually saw bits and pieces as a 5 year old, and it freaked me out at the time. T2 should probably be rated PG-13, and I have no problem with kids watching it. I do love T2, but the dark, pessimistic mood, the pacing and suspense, as well as the villain and protagonists from T1 really connect with me more. T2 is obviously a different kind of movie, in the sense that it is brighter and more light-hearted at its core. Brilliant move by Cameron, though, because that was the formula for success at the time.

I watched both as a kid of the 80s and didnt really see it as a horror movie back then. Now I think about it, it does have those elements. :)

The dread the movie creates when the T-800 kills innocent housewives, pulls the gun on Sarah in the bar, and walks down the hallway in the police station is straight up horror to me. T2 is more like a video game when T-1000 shows up and starts going at it with the T-800.

Yeah it is a much darker movie.
The ending gets your heart pumping!
Im still waiting for a decent release of T1 on bluray. That Lowery restore has been long overdue.

I grew up watching Michael Myers slice and dice people so those scenes had no effect on me. :lol
