I should have NEVER entered this thread. :gah: I had no intentions of buying this, especially with me moving/etc., but this looks like it just must have to be a purchase. :banghead

Although I must say that I am not a fan of these really high bases. I'll probably make a flatter more circular base (with the same checker pattern and shells of course) for mine. :D

I agree completely on everything you said, haha.

Yeah I agree about the unnecessary height on a Sideshow base. The Freddy vs Jason (although boring) bases were a good height, about 2 inches.

:lol After what you wrote on my wall, you deserved that :lol...ordered this afternoon, shipped tonight, receiving Thursday already ! SS rocks with shipping to Canuckland :rock

Indeed .........

Today's the day. Also I just checked the tracking for my enterbay scarface respect version and it is being delivered too. What are the odds? Wednesdays seem to be a long day enough as it is. Maybe I'll ring in work and say to my boss ' what's the difference between this morning and your daughter? I'm not coming in this morning!'

Wow people really freak out sometimes...
When you'll be paying 100-200$ for shipping every single 1/4 scale piece & will get african american Indiana Jones, Iron Man MARK VI Maquette with chin painted by 3 year old, T2 T-800 PF with giant glue marks on the t-shirt & etc, then you will start worrying about QC issues of Sideshow products.
This is my most wanted PF since I started collecting and I want to know as much as possible about possible QC/non-QC issues before shipping.

jimmy, JAWS, Voorhees27 thanks for your help guys! :duff

So every single piece has this old man spots on the forehead or it is from time2time problem?
I just want to understand if I need to push my dealer with this problem or not. Shipping this bad boy back to Sideshow is not an option for me because it will cost me more than 100$.
I also noticed that there is a QC issue with the pocket on the pants. Poorly attached in some cases.

Guys just to be clear those liver spots are on the HT T2 T800's head and also if I remember correctly they are on the T1 Tech Noir version too. But the others said you can't or bearly notice them when you see them with your own eyes. Just don't freak out.

Well yeah it can be a pain in the butt. This is why I try to order mainly from EU sellers, because I don't have to pay anything if the product is damaged(Also there is no TAX, fees, etc.) etc.. But there is a cost...in EU almost impossible to buy SS's exclusive stuff, so because of that I will only have the regular edition. :(

No, on HT figures - it's another story.
They put this "addition" on every single figure since 2009 or so, but it really looks like imitation of skin imperfections (I'm not a fan of things like that though). And they are muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch smaller & they are everywhere on the face (not only on forehead or cheekbones or smth like that). On the masterside pics they are gigantic & only on the forehead.
But yeah, things like that can appear when you taking pics with the good lightning + white background combination. I'm a little bit of photographer myself so I know how this can work, that's why I wanted to know if you can actually see them in person or not.

lol sure I will like it man! I will LOVE it!
I was in love with it years before the official announcement :lol
I just want to know if I should ask my dealer to check him for this stuff or not. I mean is this common thing for this piece or not. He is taking this stuff directly from Sideshow & it cost him nothing to change piece with QC issues for a good one. And for me - it will cost a little bit more :lol
I'm taking this bad boy no matter what. It's a grail anyway.

Sined,

I agree mate, it's gotta come half way round the world to get to me too but I wouldnt send a statue back unless there was a breakage, a chip or some paint in the wrong place and I'm not seeing anything like that in here.

Well it doesn't hurt to ask, but the way I see it the spots are common at every piece. Anyway it really looks like in the future it will be a grail piece! :rock Can't wait to get it, but I have to wait at the end of february.

It has arrived. :clap

THE BAD
Box was all messed up as usual, the jacket had a massive white blob on the back of it and I had to spend half an hour scraping it off and I have no idea what it was, luckily it wasn't paint and it came off. Not sure about the back leg as it doesn't seem to be a natural bend in the knee, I thought the leg was broken at first. Bullet shells on the base could have been done better as they just look like blobs of polystone and not shell casings. Barrel on the MG is not straight.

THE GOOD
Paint aps are phenomenal both on the statue and the base. The HS looks so much better in-hand and the BD head doesn't look as bad either, all in all it is a fantastic piece and hopefully it is a sign that SS is starting to get things right.

Pics to follow. Thanks for listening to my ramblings :)
