It's a double whammy of Hot Toys goodness tonight! I'm looking at what I think is now the front contender for best sixth scale figure of 2011, the Terminator 1 T-800. And Jeff Parker has a guest review of the Chris Taylor from Platoon - you can find all the reviews at the usual:

Thanks for reading!

Thanks for providing something to read, pretty bored on here today! Preaching to the converted really. The figure is stunning. Only downsides would be the clothes could have done with a bit of weathering. I also don't think the likeness is as perfect as you say but its very very close.

I've pointed this out before but I continue to find it odd though that your related links part gives mention to just about every Terminator-related collectible past and present except NECAs ongoing T2 line (and their T1 line coming soon). I know you've never reviewed them or had any guest reviews of them, so theres no links to point to but I still think they're worth mentioning especially since even McFarlanes T3 line gets a credit.

It'll definitely be hard to beat out for best figure of the year. Hopefully CR Superman will be in the running before the end of the year. :lol

Thank you Michael for this great review you made.
Absolutely agreed with everything!
Peoples who're still thinking about the T1 T-800... don't waste your time and go to buy this badass!

Great review as always! Wondered if you were even getting this, then I saw the thread :D. Definitely one of the best figures HT has ever put out, if not the best... we'll just have to wait for a possible Police Station Shootout version.

Yeah. Understanding you. I have the same situation right now but only with Barney Ross. Already I spent a lot of money for a good figures but really can't pass him and regret in the future... :slap

No T1/T2 minimates either. :(

It's the overall size of the boots. They look silly and almost 1:4 scale. The feet, from ankle to toe are nearly the length of his forearm. The stirrup looks cheap as well. More like something that'd come from NECA than HT. It doesn't even lay down right. That's the same and only issue I have with the figure. :wink1:

I give you that. Never liked the stirrup.

But this is still Figure of the Year so far to me.

Hahaha, I thought the same thing when I was on the main collecting thread and saw his name along with the title thread. I mistook it for Beetlejuice too.

agree on the boots tho i figured they were just the same old boot sculpts that were used on HT's first T1 fig, and that they didn't have the benefit of the past 6-7 years experience. they are big

The feet do seem a little large... But that's not too big of an issue, especially when you compare this with their first "hamburger face" T-800 :lol

Michael it would be great if you made a HT Barney Ross review. Many people seem to be finding hard to decide if they buy the figure or not.
