There could be more than a single human around, his friends could try to help. Endos pursuing him are not stupid.

Then they could simply use their hands to get rid of any humans helping him. Guns would just be extra weight. Unless there was long distance shooting going on, but it doesn't seem like that's the case there.

If the other humans carry plasma rifles, the endos without any weapons are doomed. And I don't think extra weight applies to an endo

Extra weight carried out over long periods of time means sufficient wear on their arm pistons; something skynet would surely want to avoid to be as efficient as possible?
