Yeah I know. It's difficult to determine value on some of these things due to rarity. 15k seems excessive, but you never know. I'd prefer the old one over the newer 2 gun version myself.
It is worth more than the new version, but I probably wouldn't go over 10K for one.

It could just be that the Pizza owner is a collector, it's easier to display a 1:1 at his shop rather then at home.

If the owner is a collector, I guess they never planned on selling the piece... at least not in that condition. :lol

WTH kind of collector puts a prized piece in window exposed to sunlight like that? That's like collection 101...sunlight is bad.

It shouldn't hurt the chrome, the base or gun might start to UV though, but other than that it should be ok(as long as it does not get heated from sun)

It's In a pizzeria for Christ sakes, do you think he/she cares about it being exposed to sunlight? :dunno

:lol

Yeah I personally wouldn't want my endo that costs 6 grand in a pizzeria but if that's where you prefer to keep your stuff the so be it.

Out so people can enjoy it? Yea, can't have that... Properly cordoned off and away from food I fail to see the issue.

I would be more concerned with the HVAC vents at his feet than it being displayed in an eatery.

What is your deal? I said that having a six thousand dollar collectible in a pizzeria might not be the best idea. Does that seriously have to be elaborated on? How can you even argue with that? :dunno :lol

Edit: look at the pics man, that looks "properly cordoned off" to you? It's got caution tape and a CARDBOARD wall behind it. :lol Its been through hell from the looks of it. Missing fingers and it's ready to topple over any minute.

IF it was properly displayed it would not be an issue in a restaurant, but this one OBVIOUSLY isn't.

$6K for a centerpiece and attention grabber is a small price to pay for the draw it would generate. Guy might have even written it off as "advertising expense".

I hate it when people don't "properly display" their 1:1 endoskeletons in their pizzerias!Lmfao!:rotfl

I just always assumed that's what the inside of all pizza robots looked like.
This looks like the proof I've been after!
Thanks OP!

It's funny because the when I saw a screen used endo at the Seattle Sci Fi Museum it looked to be in almost exactly the same condition. It was in a corner roped off so no one could get to it but was still missing a few fingers. The security guard said people had jumped the rope and broke off fingers as souvenirs. No endo is safe when exposed to the public.

Exactly. I've been to universal Orlando a bunch of times. They always have a 1:1 endo in the t2-3D shop, and it's always jacked up. They rotate them out quite frequently too, but people end up destroying them no matter what.

That's what insurance is for(and cameras). Plus a rope wouldn't stop anyone. Properly displayed means behind glass or secured so people cannot possibly get to it.
