Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

Oh my gosh that's the freaking funniest thing I've seen in a long time.

"This is all wrong, how do I exist?"

"You don't."

:lol

And that last shot of the two Arnold's hanging off the helicopter. :rofl

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

Just thought I'd chime in with my thoughts on The Wonder Years. It was one of my, & my families, very favourite shows when I was growing up. It portrayed real life drama & comedy perfectly.

Look at Winnie now. :drool

Yeah mate, they both still look great. I was in love with Danica McKellar back in the day (whispers, still am). :love &, no, that's not weird because she's actually older than me by 20 days. :)

God bless The Big Bang Theory for casting her in an episode & she was also in several episodes of The West Wing. So that's 3 of my all time favourite TV shows that she's starred in over the years.

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

That is great. Love the sending back an even less advanced terminator to fight an even more advanced one. :lol

I didn't find that bit funny because it's not actually true. The T-1000 is more advanced than the TX and the T-850 is more advanced than the T-800s of T1 and T2. :lol

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

What the **** was a "T-850" any way.

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

It's a super elite Terminator preprogammed to look for car keys above sun visors. Oh yeah, they're also the Ford Pintos of Terminators because if they ever get slightly damaged they're prone exploding in a massive thermonuclear blast.

On another note it's just another stupid contrivance of T3 that T-850's ALSO look like Arnold. I've already said that I don't like that T2 introduced the idea of multiple Arnolds (not very good infiltration units if half of them look like the same Austrian bodybuilder) but if you do like that idea you can at least go with the notion that T-800's are human infiltration units and that Cyberdyne Model 101 was the "Arnold" series of T-800's. But then T3 introduces the "T-850" and it too looks like Arnold? Lame.

Totally agree. The TX was way, way less advanced than the T-1000. :lecture

While I whisked away a couple of hours reading that incredibly astute in-depth critique of T3 that you led me to, a-dev, it got me wondering if perhaps sexism was, in some small way, involved in just how pathetic & inept the TX was handled.

I mean, Arnie is quite openly sexist & I can just imagine that back in the day when he found out that this new Terminator was being portrayed by a woman that he would then demand that she 'in no way' gets the better of him in any of the fight scenes. That character, surely, couldn't have been written that piss poorly on paper, could it? You'd think that the writers must've originally come up with a Terminator that they thought was much more powerful than a T-1000 but, hey, who knows.

The simple fact is that the one we saw on screen was, for me, truly one of the most unintentionally comically inept villains in the history of cinema.

What do you mean sexist? When Arnold or Robert Patrick locate their prey in T1 and T2 they go into super badass killer mode. When the TX discovers the blood of her query she has to pause to have an orgasm. I don't see the problem. They were totally consistent in how they portrayed the male and female villains...

:lol

Not to mention the feminine ballerina like hand gestures she performs when she's just been buried under a pile of rubble.

Didn't Arnie do the same in T1? :D

And that's a bad thing?:naughty

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

In T1 when the first Sarah opened the door and Arnold blew her away for all he knew he succeeded in his mission right there. He didn't jiz in his pants about it. He just systemically continued after the other Sarahs. The TX's reaction was so freaking stupid. She's an effing robot, why would she get off on anything?

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

I forgot about that tongue/blood/orgasm thing. Holy ****. :lol

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

:lol :lol :lol @ last few posts. It's always such fun taking the piss out of T3. The film made it so easy. The plus side of us probably getting another banal entry in the franchise is the fun we'll have with it for years to come.

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

If TX was basically a T-800 and a T-1000 combined, why didn't she just split apart as two different entities, especially when she was chasing down two people?

When TX was that weird looking bro (I think that woman's fiancee), why did she change back to TX when she's walking towards them in the cemetery?

Reported.

Excessive overuse of eyebrows.

You've been warned about this before, Prince.

:D

I can't help it! :monkey3

Yep, he's a sexist pig. :lol
