According to that they already have in mind the last line of dialogue from the last movie in the trilogy that they're not gonna end up making. *strokes chin*

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

I might be in the minority, but I was always hampered that Arnold never got to play a villain T-800 again after T2. I love T1 and T2 equally and as a kid, I thought the reprogrammed Uncle Bob was a one shot deal. I was genuinely terrified of T1 as a kid. :lol

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

Is the line, "I'll be back"? :lol

Surely at a certain point he's just not gonna be able to say that anymore....

I've long said the same. The protector T-800 should have been a one-off. The more it's done the more ridiculous it gets both in the context of the story (how ****ing easy is it to capture and reprogram these things? And why is it always an Arnie-specfic model 101?) and as far as the quality of the movies (stupid escalation of stunts to the point where everything has to be CGI, more and more jokes and one-liners).

Arnold should have been a two-off after T1 and T2. The more I see him in each movie, the more ridiculous it is.

Never thought they'd stoop as low as having an old man Terminator that is literally called "Pops".

Glad we share the same sentiments, a-dev. That's why I hated T3 so much, it just robs the 101 of his dignity. He's one bad@$$ killing machine, and both T1 and T2 portrayed him on two different spectrum that works off each other. And yeah, it's hilarious that series 101 are easily captured and reprogrammed than catching chickens. :lol

It's literally bad fan fiction. Never thought the mighty Terminator franchise has stooped this low. :slap

Hugh Jackman was recently quoted as saying that after he saw Birdman he wants to play Wolverine until he's an old man. I wonder if Terminator Genisys will have the reverse effect on him.

Why did he say that and where can I find that quote? On a side note, Birdman was an amazing experience of a film.

EDIT: Never mind, found it. I don't think Jackman has anything to worry about. :lol

After reading that article, it sounds like they want to get it right. I'll hold off Judgment Day until I see it in the theaters. In the meantime, you guys keep on bashing because it makes you feel better.

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

Indeed. When I see an Endoskeleton driving Mitsynetbishi-van (because it has red lights everywhere, an evil Japanese van of the future) I can't help myself but think "Hey, maybe this time it's gonna be that serious and well thought out sci-fi thriller fans wanted since 1992!"

They always want to 'get it right'. I'm sure the articles about Terminator 3 would have given the same impression. Likewise Terminator Salvation.

But knowing what we know of the plot and certain set pieces in the movie, confirmed by that trailer.......it doesn't bode well.

Well, all the stlls and whatnot are taken out of context. The one with the endo skeleton driving the car especially. It's like everyone wants it to fail so badly.
